Children are born into life all anew
So full of innocence and wonderment too
They are born tiny, so very small
Curious when learning they have a ball
They do not know what is right from wrong
So unsure of what is going on
Teach them only what is true
For, what they learn is learned from you
Teach them earnestly without neglect
For, what you teach them will always come back
Treat your children with respect
Your child is born loving you, unconditionally, in fact
Show them kindness and always be honest
Be understanding for life is a true test
Raise them with discipline, always stand firm
Explain to them when you are concerned
Help them to grow and to learn
Make sure they know to you they can turn
In life, one thing always stands true
