Acceptance

Acceptance is important. But I'm not ready to give up yet.
A gamble.
A question.
An answer.
Nine words have killed me tonight.
Hope is gone.
My love is hidden in words, and there shall it remain. Like a body in a grave.
Just now, I learned that I was right.
All along, what I have thought was indeed the truth.
So why can't I accept it?
Since I have known for a long time, it should hurt less.
But all I have is memories from when I lied to myself.
My hope has reached it's end.
Deal with it.
Love is wanting someone to be happy, even if it is without you. Cliché, but whatever. It doesn't matter. Nothing matters now.
Did you know it was for you? That this is for you? Everything I say and do, all for you. Did you know?
My last words to you were about him.
And you held him, like I held you once.
Just once, everything seemed good.
I will never repeat my mistake.
What if I did something different?
He doesn't love you. I do.
Time remains.
Is your answer final?
Acceptance is important. But I'm still not ready to give up yet.
