Falling

She fell, through the cracks of time,
through the ground,
through darkness she fell.
Slowly, then fast, never touching anything.
Carefully she raised her arm,
which was pulled back thanks to gravity.
Gravity was working in a strange way.
Pulling her down at a fast rate,
then reducing her speed, rocking her body from side to side.
Gravity always seemed to be doing this to her.
Making her disoriented and act in bizarre ways.
She fell, past clocks, and pots,
past cats that had mistaken this deep
endless pit for the perfect territorial spot.
The drop seemed endless.
It never stopped,
it really didn’t.
She fell, her body felt numb,
numb under the pressure of
the fall.
