The Game of Astro –
- Astro is played on a board with 100 squares.
- 25 of these squares are fuel squares with either 5, 10 or 15 marked on them
- One player has a rocket piece, the other player has a flying saucer piece.
- They have to land upon fuel squares in order to move around the board. Each fuel point allows them to move one square. If they run out of fuel they cannot move and therefore lose the game.
- Their ships have certain special abilities but everything costs them fuel:
- Hyperjump – A ship needs 15 fuel points to hyperjump but can move to any square on the board.
- Stunray – A stunray blast uses up 5 points. If a players ship is on the same line as their opponents ship, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally and they choose to use their stunray then their opponent must miss a turn.
- Destructor Beam – A destructor beam uses up 15 points. If a players ship is on the same line as their opponents ship, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally and they choose to use their destructor beam then they can destroy their opponents ship.
- Forceshield – A forceshield uses up 10 points. If a player is hit with a destructor beam or a stunray their only protection (apart from hyperjumping) is to put up their forceshield.
- Tractorbeam- A tractor beam allows a player to move their opponents piece, but only if they are on the same line either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Using the tractor beam costs as many fuel points as the number of squares an opponent’s piece is moved.
- Deploying an Astromine – Deploying an astromine costs 10 fuel points but it enables a player to leave an Astromine piece behind on a square which means that an opponent player cannot land on the square.
- Anti-astromine manouvers – A player can, if they have enough fuel points, move an astromine with their tractor beam or destroy it with their destructor beam. Moving an astromine, using the tractor beam onto a square occupied by an opponent will destroy them unless they employ their forceshield or can hyperjump to safety.
- Both pieces start upon their Homeplanet squares in opposite corners of the board. These home planet squares give them both 10 fuel points to start with.
- How to win the game – There are two ways to win the game a) To destroy an opponents ship b) If your opponent doesn’t have enough fuel to continue the game.
Draw your own face dolls–
Draw your own face dolls are dolls that have no faces but instead have a wipe-clean surface upon which a child can draw a face or wipe off the face and draw another with special non-toxic felt-tip pens provided.
The happy greeting game
- The happy greeting game is a game that people can play whenever they say hello or goodbye.
- The rules are quite simple and similar to Rock, Paper, Scissors. a) First both people clap their palms together and then, upon separating their clapped palms, they either keep only their left palm held up; only their right palm held up or both palms held up. b)Right palm beats left palm; left palm beats both palms and both palms beat right palm. c) Whenever they do the same thing then that is a draw and they have to clap each other’s palms with whatever palms they have held up (For example, if both people have held up two palms then they clap their two palms together).
Clownball- a fun exhibition game
- Clownball is a team ball game played by jugglers on unicycles. Because of the high skill required it is probably only suitable as an exhibition game.
- There are two teams of three. The polka dot team and the stripey team.
- Each player has two jugglers balls which they must juggle when not striking or passing.
- The goals, at either end of the court, are three skittles on three high podiums that must be hit and knocked down.
- A) The two teams only have as many chances as they have balls to throw at the targets. B) If a team drop a ball on the ground then they may not pick it up and lose a chance at the goal. C) If a team steal an opposing teams ball then they have an extra chance at scoring a goal.
- A) The team that knocks down all three of the opposing teams skittles wins a round and there are three rounds in a game. B)The team that wins the most rounds out of 3 wins the game.
