I made love in Esperanto,
whispered Klingon in her ear,
I pledged my troth in Elvish,
but she didn't want to hear.
Her look said it was gibberish,
and she lay back on the bed.
I knew she wouldn't understand,
no matter what I said.
I turned to leave and at the door,
I said the words I knew,
of course she didn't believe it,
still I whispered “I love you”.

a nice take on incommunicability
but making love in esperanto must be a mistake!

Words, so often overrated in
Words, so often overrated in love are at least necessary in poetry. But then it all depends who wants to hear. I liked your poem.
