Hugh Guy always had a hard time living up to the stock character he was supposed to impersonate. He was tall but he didn't play basketball which some folks deemed a tremendous waste of height.
Hugh had a black friend named Greg who had a pat answer for the stereotypes that went along with his complexion and altitude which was even higher than Hugh's.
"You must be a helluva basketball player, Greg!"
"Hey, if I was white and a little person would you think I'd be great at miniature golf."
Greg always knew what to say.
Hugh didn't.
Hugh was also bad with a hammer although he was expected to impersonate a carpenter.
Hugh didn't know the difference between a carburetor and a cylinder although he was expected to impersonate a mechanic.
Hugh didn't have a jealous bone in his body although he was expected to impersonate Othello minus Iago.
Hugh was helpless although he was expected to be helpful.
Hugh had learned his helplessness in response to Haylen's capability and control.
Haylen hated that part of Hugh's pathetic impersonation of a married man.
