The Village

We drove around the village, in circles,
Knowing that if we found out the truth, it would destroy us, it would
destroy our youth.
These things can only weigh you down for so long before you either
collapse under the pressure,
Or you become strong enough to carry them

You can convince yourself that things will change,
That time will change the way you react to certain situations,
That time will grant you wisdom.
Through experience you will grow, you will change and be better for
it.
But at the end of the day we all go home and live with ourselves.
With our creation, our thoughts, our demons, our pain, our
love&;#8230;
And we all dance secretly in front of the mirror.
