I am time, I'm not on your side.

I am precious, I hope you know.

I could easily pass you by.

It's strange how quickly I can go.



You'd best not take me for granted.

Don't think that you'll always have me.

I don't wait for anybody,

For I move on effortlessly.



One moment I'll be on your hands,

And you'll feel there's too much of me.

Don't let me slip through your fingers,

If you happen to find me free.



I am time, I'm currently yours,

But I am other people's too.
