WHY ARE WE HERE?

"Dad, why are we here?"

The dad looks at his bright eight year old son. He doesn't want to insult his son's intelligence, so tries to come up with an at least half acceptable answer. "Son, many people have pondered that for an unbelievable amount of years. We are on this planet, and some believe that in the beginning, before this big old Earth was here, there was a type of explosion which caused the planets to be made. Others believe that God made us, while some might have the belief that aliens; not terrifying ones like you won't have seen in the movies as you're not old enough yet, started the human race for some reason. As you get older, you may think about your own explanation as to why we are here. Does that help you at all with your question?"

The boy frowns. "No. I still don't know why we're standing at the wrong bus stop."
