November nightmare,
Even the sea gulls are weeping,
Wreaths linger in The White House.

First lady smeared in blood, flesh then black,
“Is JFK really gone”?
Red roses left on his Arlington grave look bereaved,
Soldiers salute,
Tax men whimper against walls.

Jennifer, thanks for your compliment for my JFK poem. He really inspires me! "Lovely in its brevity". I thought I would try a poem with shorter lines. I love experimenting with different verse lenghts. Many thanks.
