Point Zero - IV - Death by Deletion

He moved his chair towards Kit, smiling maliciously. "It's nice to meet
you Christopher. It's always a pleasure to meet my students of course;
but I'm not pleased that we've met like this."

Kit's eyes had been screening the office in front of him. There was
something about the setup and the man he immediately distrusted.
"Christopher?" came a voice from somewhere at the back of his mind. Kit
did not reply, he was too busy scanning in his surroundings, trying to
find a clue. "Christopher?" came the boice again. "Hmm?" Kit finally
looked up into the stone cold glare of the man facing him. "Sorry, I'm
not used to responding to that name." "Oh, isn't that your name? What
do your friends call you then?" There it was! It was staring right at
him, from the keyboard. The button had nothing written on it except
"truth". Kit placed a firm finger down on it before the man could
snatch the keyboard away from him. Suddenly the man changed his
expression and tone. "What do your friends call you then? Do they call
you conspirator, enemy, bastard? I hate you. You must be stopped before
you do it. Your mission must be stopped. You must be eliminated. You
must die. You must be deleted..." Kit's finger had slipped off the
truth key in shock, bringing the man's thin lipped smile back. "I hope
you won't need to come into my Office again, Christopher. You can go
back to class now." Kit knew that if he pressed the truth key again, he
would be killed...
