Sky scraper

(I have been listening to Demi Lovato's song sky scraper a lot recently, great song if you haven't heard it yet you should go listen, and the lyrics really get to me on a emotional level, so i wanted to try turning the lyrics into a poem based around the level that they reach with me, and thats my acting, hope you all enjoy it)
I'm watching the tear drops
fall into my hands,
and the silence as 300 hopefuls
remain, disbelieving,
like they even had a chance.
Do they have to make us feel
like we're not good enough for them.
We give them everything,
pour our souls into our performace
and they just cut us down,
smash us like we are glass,
fragile and weak
as paper. And still we go on
rising from our sorrow
and become stronger
than sky scrapers,
reaching to the skies.
As the disbelief goes
and we come to our senses
still we feel incomplete,
cause the way they hurt us
just hurts so deep,
but broken hearted we still go on.
In the hope we find that job one day,
when they strip us down to our core,
where they can break us, or make us soar,
and when we are nothing but paper
for writing on, we are woven
a tapestry which makes us strong
giving us the strength to carry on
and reach for the clouds,
and we run with our chance
as we remember those who shot us down,
give a smile as those memories disappear,
because okay there is so much expectation
from us now, but we're so high
we're just a small step from our dream.
Yeah, in acting,
you give everything to your trade
and hope to god that they say,
we like you and we want to work with you,
because that high makes us feel
on top of the world,
like a sky scraper.
