Shivering Mountain
move
with taxi cabs
wind past office workers
firemen start blazes in trashcans
sleeping cops bust bums
in flower beds
old men hustle chess in the park
as kids skate on water
roller blade to dawn with car horns
clerking shift-footed
in to the cracks on the sidewalk
dance and strut the night away
with the hookers of 33rd
down with the Irish bar drunks
brown paper shacked: shimmer-shake
toast mothers in speeding cars
sink in to potholes and flashbacks
as flowers sing to stop signs
flash to read
turn to walk
trip and race
dealers on main and fifth
go with the motion
pick pocket and split
past office workers
jumping cabs for quarters
and dimes
