Dreamcatcher I

I open my eyes, to find a locked door,
Was in the wrong place at the wrong time,
My room was nowhere in sight, but instead I saw,
A purple wooden door with gold touches, along
With many other doors that were brown,
Where am I, where is this place, I never knew.
It was a mystery, a mystery built strong.
My momma taught me, taught me well indeed,
To pick locks with metal paper clips.
So before the sun went down,
There was a moon eclipse,
Shone down on me.
I knew it was wrong, but I had no choice,
This was the only thing to find the way home,
So I thrust the paper clip with full force,
To open up the locked door,
It opened up to a new world, to a new place,
And there I met a boy I never got to meet,
Daylight, nighttime, had no meaning anymore,
Even so, I lost track of time,
Where is reality?
I’m trapped on a bridge between,
Reality and Fantasy,
It wasn’t a dream,
But it wasn’t real either, so where am I?
Days passed slowly but meanings seem to fade,
The mysterious boy remains a mystery,
But I realized that I’m not asleep and not awake,
But under a deep spell,
Not a curse,
Nor a gift.
Wake up….
The clouds drifted above me,
I stared deeply, wondering if this had a meaning,
The wind whispered in breezes, calling out to me,
Colours and oblivion,
I must break the spell I figured,
And to break it I must try.
And I did.
Time reversed, to the beginning,
The boy called out but faded through time,
What had I done?
I never said goodbye to the boy,
I went out the door,
Reaching out to the light,
I’m coming home,
I looked back,
The door shut slowly and soon, it closed,
But before it closed, the boy stared with sadness,
In his heart,
Before long I knew,
I’m reaching home,
Waking up,
Mom, dad, brothers and friends,
I’m coming home.
But the door,
The locked door,
Will never open again,
What have I done?
