"You don't talk like a Black Man",
As if I must be cookie cut,
And prove to all what I am.
For you, I won't Hip-Hop or Rap,
My Blues bleed Rock n Roll,
So I don't sit in "normalcy's" lap.
Alexandre Dumas was Black you know,
Author of D'Artagnon and Three Muskateers,
Played by Micheal York and Leo Di Caprio,
Paul Robeson's voice poured African hues,
Superlative in articulate diction,
Jimi Hendrix's Rock was a black-man's blues.
I'm "Old Man River" and I'm "Hey Joe",
This well defined Darkness,
Expands beyond "what's up Bro?"
It Embraces the whole Diaspora
And there's the rub my friend,
I'm even found within the Torah,
And We're all Black in the End
