Hear Me Not

Hear me not for I am happy,
Clappy, spacky,
Flappy, dappy,
Painted in purple, pink and gold,
Silvery, sparkling and bold.
Frivolous I am,
A shimmering illusion
Shamelessly,
Unwittingly
Feeding my own delusion.
But squiggly, giggly, higgledy-piggledy
Flirty
Full of mirth
And pointy-toed-y.
My skirt is shorter
And my hair is clean.
I have mascara, lipstick:
No.3 - Rosy Sheen.
I am gurgling, gushing,
Endless stream
Of vacuous banter.
I am a hop, skip, jump
A frolic,
A canter.
I am meringue, souffle,
Fluffy white cream whipped into frenzied peaks.
I have wings, propellers
And springs on my feet.
Nothing can touch me:
I am surrounded by glass.
I don't eat.
I don't sleep.
Mine is a joyous fast.
But my body cannot go on forever
Without real-life food.
I grow light.
And then heavy.
And so does my mood.
