Distanced.
In your eyes
Black and full
I am reflected on the surface.
We are
Peeling,
Two petals from an age.
Gestures blunt
I grapple
with decrepit diction,
Unfitting,
Threading failures in a line
Trying to insinuate myself
into
your heart;
Locked tight,
bound
with effrontery.
Love has become a face
Does it endure?
The hiatus is gaping
Will you leap
to my side...
And when another
Shines
inside your eyes,
What will remain
Of this:
Not I.
