When things get tough and hard to bear
Just find a friend that wants to care
A true friend is never hard to find
Because you know they always have you on their mind
Just look around you and you will see
That a true friend is where they always should be
Right beside you every step of the way
With a smile, or a joke or a shoulder to cry on
Or being there when you need someone to depend on
They don't ask questions or reasons why
They just understand when you need to cry
If you need them they are there
Always ready just to care
