Funerals And Weddings by Neil McCall
Funerals and weddings sombre me;
choices made till death us do part
and then one day it does.
Funerals and weddings disturb me;
God invoked in the afternoon
like a good-luck lizard.
Funerals and weddings arouse me;
give me a cuddle for comfort
or dance with me for joy.
I'll brush down my dusty dark suit
while you wriggle into black tights
and don a silly hat
then tonight we'll shag thankfully;
once for being married
and once for being alive.
