From Future to Past: Chapter One: A Boring History Lesson

It was yet another boring History lesson and I was
really tired. I couldn't concentrate and it was because I was up all night watching TV. Sigh.
We were learning Medieval History and it was so boring. All we were doing was reading from a stupid textbook. How interesting!
"Simpson!" My teacher called. "Read the last paragraph."
With another sigh I read it in a boring tone which made everyone giggle. "Shut up!' The teacher snapped at them.
Temper, temper," I thought. I glanced Wendy behind me, who was listening to her iPod. Naughty, naughty, I thought with a grin.

My name is James Simpson. My brother is named after Bart Simpson from the TV show. Everyone calls him Fart Simpson, except the teachers' of
course. He is a year above me and is the only sibling I had. I was falling asleep, I knew it. But something strange happened. A glow surrounded me and I felt myself being pulled, straight into the textbook.

Ouch! I landed on marble. It felt like marble. I heard a few ladies scream. It sounded like it, anyways. And there I was, staring into the old face
of William the conqueror.
