GODDESS OF THE NIGHT

Goddess roams the night
as if with paws of gold,
treading lightly over all
that rolls underneath your proud feet.

Rumbles in the dark,
screeches of your power,
hissing whispers of despise
are the sounds that escape your throat.

I will worship you,
oh, Goddess of the Night,
as you sleep in the sunshine
I will not disturb your slumber.
