Guy Fawkes
As I climber upon the stand, I can see the people watching, leering at
me, for what I have done. Treason, it carries the death penalty, that
fateful night, I should have known, there was a traitor amongst us.
But, no, I thought he was merely afraid, of the consequences, well I
told him, our actions were not for power, but for justice and the right
of religion, he merely replied;
"I quit." And threw down his shovel. We carried on without him, not
aware, that that weasel was telling the law of us.
The match was in my hand, the gunpowder ready. When the police came in,
everything froze. My plans which took months of preparation, ruined.
And the traitor by the side of the law, a twisted grin upon his
face.
I have been subjected to torture and now I am going to be burnt. They
are tying my hands, I feel no regret. A match has been lit, I feel no
pain. The flames flicker against my body, the pain is great now. I am
going to die, but it is not the last of me, for I am Guy Fawkes.
