I Try

I try. I try so hard but I fail every time. It's like being stuck in
a concrete blcok 4 feet thick with nothing but a spoon. And there's
that one little hole that lets me peer our to freedom. And that's all I
have to work with. A spoon and a 1 inch hole. I get so close to
freedom, and I begin to wonder. It's the wondering that's torture. The
plague of mankind is to think. To think about how long it will take.
How thick the wall is. How hard the concrete is. But the only motive
for mankind is to think. What it's like outside these walls. Imagining
that one inch replicated ten million times around me. But every time I
get so close, I start thinking, start wondering. And the concrete, it
builds back up. And once again, I'm trapped.
