Insanity Pills

Destiny and it's left-handed wave
Sneaks in my dreams, a third-world rave
Rain of silver, the deafening roar
Of a thousand lives ended for quite an eyesore

'To grieve for a dead man', I wrote on the page
'Is not something that should be aligned with an age'
But generations of children, not yet through their dreams
They fall to the ground and beg on their knees

The war shall not end, blood shed shall go on
Tears cannot be stopped, the wicked web has been spun
From heart-ache to heart-break, some shall dive too deep
And then they'll fly forever during their eternal sleep

Smiling never felt so evil, it should be a crime
Standing on this stage, I feel as though I missed my line
Can't imagine how it felt to feel your pain, even in rest
But I'm guessing not all can survive, love dies for endless rest

Fate spurs its horse to ride on the night
A shining blade against the watery light
Their screams are drowned out by the stampeed of hooves
Feels like so many knives clattering on the rooves

Dead souls are raining down, the bullets can't be heard
Now it's time for us to fight above the Gods, unheard
Afraid to die, don't want to shine, need to know what this world
means
And as I fall with them ... yet again ... my life tears at the
seams

This act of death has gone so wrong
I feel as though the end is dragging on
I kiss the sky, I shan't see it again
I'm getting closer to my Devil's den

I'd let myself go, but I'm not good with heights
So I tune all my focus into that awful sight
Some demon riding horseback, flying through the fire
Destiny has twisted ways of handing out desire

I look around, and now I understand just how they felt
Yet another scream and there's blood flowing down my pelt
Closing my eyes, I'm begging, 'Please don't let me see this end'
My sanity pills, to hell, I wish you please to send ...

... Them.
