Watch me go,
Rocket thrust,
Linford Christie eat my dust,

Sprinting like
Man possessed,
Girls are bound to be impressed,

Belly in,
Chest out,
Keen as mustard there's no doubt,

Fill my lungs,
Breathing deep,
Oh, my God, that hill looks steep,

Persevere,
Must get fit,
(Perhaps I'll just slow down a bit),

Climbing now,
Where's the top?
Pushing hard, I must not stop,

Grit my teeth,
Feel my wrath,
Dreaming of a nice hot bath,

Wheezing starts,
Breaking sweat,
Haven't done a mile yet,

Tired legs
Reach the crest,
I'm sticking to my sweaty vest,

Big relief,
Down the hill,
Pray my heart is beating still,

Can't slow down,
Wish me luck,
Crossing road whilst dodging truck,

Gasping well,
Breathing smog,
Drivers stare at me, agog,

I don't care,
Reach the park,
Might get home before it's dark,

Pretty girl,
Flash a smile,
Stun her with my running style,

To the local fast-food shop,

One kebab,
ketchup please,
Destined to remain obese,

Finish meal,
Hail a cab,
