She was so innocent, so quiet
Pure and untouched
Not lively, dead in a way
I wondered about her
Was she in a deep thought that takes almost forever to get out of
Or maybe her soul had left her body without a word of goodbye
Her frown made even the happiest things dreadful
Even if she ever did smile it would seem too strange
I just always wondered why she was alone and friendless
Did she speak, no,
Did she cry, no,
She was so innocent, so quiet
Was she dead inside
