Lone

When you say you have a pain
I don't believe you
When you say you are alone
That is untrue
Because I have been sad
As lonely as you say you are now
Nothing in that when said
Will make sense as truth
You see when there is something
In the soul that burns
That when you look around
And you see through
Swollen focus that is the vision
Become through the tears
You hold hard that ache that wells in your throat:
It is the difference between realising all around you
Is happy and alive
And not noticing that you are amongst others
Who have thrived.
Between that look that graze of fate
The relation the provocations
And the hollow of guilt that leaves your wretched
Bitter and tired
Where is the fairness of making this fact?
Making it something to share?
Is there a friend in me that I cannot afford to lose?
By saying this am I doomed?
Can I pass over my projection
Make you succumb,
To the flame that has gone?
In tyranny tell you
You are not alone
Because loneliness is
My friend, in being the truth
Of the untold and plainly cold
