Is Me, Was Me &; Will Be Me

The person who is me looks at the person who was me beside her and
asks where Was Me is going plese? Was Me doesn't hear and continues her
journey, head bowed and watching her feet. Is Me strides on beside her.
Drawing a little ahead, she catches sight if the person who will be me,
indistinct in the haze. She calls out to the distant figure, asking
what the state of the road might be. Will Be Me glances back and seems
to be making signals and mouthing words at Is Me. Is Me can't hear and
runs to try to catch up. She trips over a loose stone on the path and
rolls onto the ground nursing bruised feet and knees. Will Be Me draws
even further away, out of sight now. Was Me comes up behind, and Is Me
looks up at her. Was me stops beside Is Me and puts her back on her
feet. The two walk on, with Is Me a little ahead, trying still to catch
a glimpse of Will Be Me in the distance. Presently, Was Me catches up
again, and Is Me asks where she is going please?
