You may have seen one of these before from Rokkitnite or Spack. A univocalism is a poem written only using one type of vowel, this is my attempt, it's about the type of people I used to work when when I temped.
The Meek
Seven PM, we're here:
Stepney
well, New Stepney
pre-weekend beers
extended sesh
meek Drew meets gentle Beth
he resembles Dexter Fletcher
her eyes gelled green
hey sweetcheeks he creeps
she tee-hee-hees
Feed me Drew!
They enter The Elk's Legs
(est. seventeen-seventy-three)
where he spends freely
they get entrees, mezze, Red Cherry Reef, Deserts, then creme de menthe
the DJ expends the cheesy three-step dregs they respect
-Hey Beth, let's see Lenny Henry
- Eek! when?
- Next week.
- Excellent! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Beth respects Lenny Henry
she resents these new leery jester types
she'll never ever get them
She tells Drew
she stretches, extends, stresses every p.m.
seventy secs per stretch! she bleeps
Drew tells her the new VW Beetle's very speedy
he'll sell the the merc next week
he smells the sleek cell between them
geekery's Drew' element.
Then Drew see Beth's Ex Del
He jets, spends penny
when he re-enters
Beth seems testy
Drew, she eeks
lezzers entered The Elk's Legs!
See,
Beth's never seen lezzers
Beth's never seen geezers
Jeez, Beth's never seen Bez
The Lezzers explete freely
Beth eyes them, these Ellen Degeneres types
her cheer depletes keenly
Drew's mettle's tested
See,
Beth's never felt seedy
Beth's never felt greedy
Beth prefers her sphere teeny-weeny.
The lezzers spy Beth's repelled leer
they send her the V
The Meek jet
Stepney's been sleeted
Drew bleep-bleeps the new VW
Beth's left, she feels wet.
