Momentary forever

We're happiest in oblivion,
Didn't someone say, 'Ignorance is bliss'?
We'll dwell forever on a momentary loving,
And live our lives for a nanosecond kiss.
No going back where we came from,
We can't go back to the past,
Life is lived in a moment,
And that moment is lived fast.
We're content with not knowing,
We're joyful when we don't notice pain,
We're happiest when we do what we're not supposed to -
And flush our sanity down the drain.
We're cool with a world surrounding us,
And no-one else besides,
We won't remind anyone of their tears,
They've been cried, and they've been dried.
No-one tries to change a thing,
And looks the other way,
Searching for more happy moments,
To complete the day.
Someone wants another's help all the time,
But giving it is rare,
We forcus only on ourselves,
And forget that that isn't fair.
We're all looking for the same thing -
Momentary loving that lasts forever,
Is there such a thing,
Or is there just bits of time in never?
To the world you are one person,
Out of billions of everyone,
To one person you might one day be the world,
That's what you search to become.
