Mouse, lurking Kelly

In under the door
looking for crumbs
or something more.

Twitching nose
back feet stance
like some kind of line dance.

Lots of crumbs are around
on the floor
they are found.

A feast for any belly
but watch out
for lurking Kelly.

Amber eyes
glow in the dark
her licking paws
are ready and sharp.

She is ready for the sport
and a tasty bite
the lurker of the night.

Feeding bliss unaware
of the danger there
Kelly moves in
for the kill
licking lips to get her fill.

But little scamper is in the know
under the door she must go
Kelly loses... well okay
always another day.
