Nearly thirty three..and I've got PD

Nearly thirty three.. and I've got PD!

I'm young, fit and vibrant, not yet thirty three
Diagnosed with a type of young on-set PD.
Infact I was seven when my symptoms began,
My teacher first noticed at school as I ran.
For some strange reason I couldn't stand still,
Was I pretending ..perhaps I was ill!

It's strange being a challenge to medical science
But nevertheless I enjoy the defiance!

At morning time I'm slow to awake
I look in the mirror at my unusual gait.
Infact it's not that strange anymore,
I just sink to my knees and crawl on the floor
To get to where I want to be
Needs determination and it's up to me!

Taking the tablets relieves the distress
But living with PD is hard I confess!
With friends and family all gathered around
It's easier to cope with life ,I've found.
Face the world with a grin,
Battle hard you're going to win!!
