Never said goodbye

As I sit and look
at that empty chair
I know you are not there.
You would sit and flick back
your silver locks
and take your knitting
from your sewing box.
You could spin
a yarn or two, from,
taking apples missing chapel
and trying to ride
old Frank's cattle.
Their was nothing
in your eyes to say,
you are leaving me today.
All those years we held hands
wife husband and problems
we loved together
we cried together
we should of died together.
If love is for ever
will you wait for me
or is it the end of years
and nothing more
the closing of the door.
All must end
wither and die my lovely wife,
you never said goodbye.
