Nile Blue Misery

Sweltering oppression, shimmery Georgia heat
Spreads throughout my little corner of the world
By late afternoon, I've had my fill of contemporary obligations
So I go awandering through the hushed and quiet streets
Predestined to receive more than I had bargained for
Dark grey, purple thunderheads swiftly breeze in from the south
Undaunted strategy, high-speed booms and lightning streaks
Heaven's demon rumbles, his exacting mood to settle scores
Atmospheric brouhaha, hideous emotions
Contaminated raindrops pummel, soaked in Nile Blue misery
Unedited flow of errors, and undignified miscalculations
Active vortex ripplings, earth-shattering commotions
I ask for signs of sure escape, my inborn sense of slow and
steady
Because there are so many things I have yet to do
Smell the beauty of the sunset, taste secrets stored behind the Pearly
Gates
Supernatural Mysticism setting free my hidden passions, senses
fine-tuned, ready
Though merely human, I've achieved divining insight, companionship of
blessed writings
My artistic pilgrimage transcends the rising rungs on Jacob's ropechain
ladder
Expressed in gravitational designs, golden meccas of bohemia
UFO's, unconventional phenomena, marvelous galaxy sightings
