NIRVANA SHINES

Still a dense oppressive silence,
Yet potence and magic combined.
Punching through the age lonely day,
Dusk eased its way like a sheath.

Chimney smoke rose into a ladder,
Denser fume played tag from a bonfire.
A bird penetrated murky wisps,
Creating a key hole for dusk to unlock.

Moisture droplets tumbled anaesthetising grass,
Cleansing without risk of infection.
Pools gathered drips counted down,
Branches natural movement cog-wheeled time.

Poppy fragrance languished into a round,
Blown retreating to the breath.
Eternal nirvana shines,
Amid a crowd of stars.

As sleep enthrals the land,
Shadows engulf devious.
Changing face of a planet,
Weakening day turns to night.
