Parting
She left him eventually.
No words were needed.
Their faces told their story
If you looked close enough.
They did not speak at the end
He traced his finger across her hand
She smiled
The moment was framed
Later on the bus she thought
He had worn a blue shirt
And had smelt of lemons
Colours of the South
She felt tired
So very tired
She still had a way to go.
