PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY
(c) Fay Jackson 2001
I imagine my mind
As a photo album.
In it are pasted pictures
Of people and places.
Some familiar yet some
are landscapes unreal to me
and strangers belong to the faces.
The faces are twisted
into grotesque expressions,
And the places are
more often than not, blurred.
These pictures are confessions
of needs and wants and desires,
Supressed and never heard.
Memories and flashbacks.
Souveniers of my woe.
Smiling eyes and broken hearts,
Saints, sinners, justice, crime...
Say it isn't so.
So many pages of my mind,
so very little time...
