Place I would like to be

Ideal Scenery
Crabs scuttle along the shore,
Ancient trawlers sail into moor.
Into the air seabirds fly,
Flotsam and jetsam in a seaside sky.
Miles of dunes and deserted sand,
This could be the promised land,
Where cheery laughter and smiles prevail,
amongst half built castles and an upturned pail.
Suntan cream and salty air,
Eager tourists come and stare.
Gazing affectionately out to sea..
..It's a place I'd long to be.

Awake
Restlessly I turn round and round
Trying to find a cool place to lay my head.
I feel feverish, hot and bothered
and my bedroom is turning upsidedown.
Will morning ever come
Or will black sky smother us in darkness for ever?
