Promise of Tomorrow

I sleep tonight with the promise of tomorrow,
gentle flowing dreams erode my sorrow.
The space beyond awake brings peace,
my truest source of serenity and release.
My worry ladden head becomes light
as I slip off to sleep each short night.
Dreams weave through me seeing no bounds,
something long lost surfaces and resounds.
With each possibility firm in my grasp
I am able to at last forget the past.
I sit on the sun and dance on the moon,
it comes too quick and is gone too soon.
My days have grown long now,
but I mutter through somehow.
I wake today with the promise of tonight,
where all that is wrong becomes right.
