06.50 am Despite waking up and feeling down, by the end of the day I
felt better. I have just checked a poem I posted about someone I care
about, who I dont really know but would like to get to know better. It
gets 1 star. Still its only to be expected, whoever read the poem has
no real idea of the emotion behind the poem anyway. I am listening to
Ker Plunk again.
Yesterday (09) I woke up at 6.15 and fed the cats, both of whom seemed
to be quite happy with the food presented for their breakfast. I was a
bit depressed for some reason. When I went to the station I stood on
the steps and felt like crying, I felt like getting a cab home and
staying at home, but I went to work, because I could use the net and I
could get the new My Generation album that is released today.
On the train I listened to the D4 who are very good, their album
"6Twenty" is worth getting. I went into to work. The new bloke has
started - Chris who is the same age as Gayle who I also work with. They
seemed to get on fine.
I spent the morning working on another area of the mainframe app, then
we had a meeting and my boss told us that the SQL server we have has
only one database on it now, so it may get used for something else as
well.
At lunchtime I asked in T Mobile about a new phone which I may use for
a new project. I posted CDs to Kit and JH, which I hope they like. Then
I bought My Generation, and my panini and latte in Starbucks. I
listened to the album at work for the rest of lunchtime and it is
really good. It put me in a good mood.
In the afternoon it was quiet and I left at 5 and got the 17.15 home.
On the train I listened to the Sahara Hotnights album and read the
lyrics. Its good.
I got in, played the guitar for a bit then I went online. I spoke with
D again, although the web chat was a bit quiet. Then I went on the NME
chat for a while, but didnt say much.
My wife got in with a new video of a film "Kate and Leopold" which was
good. It is a Meg Ryan film, and she looks quite old in it.
The I went back in the NME chat, and I also spoke with C. In the chat I
waited till I could speak and told a couple of people about my mate's
band Thee Herbert Oranges. There seemed to be enough interest in them
that I may try to upload some tracks from their CD.
I also sorted out my subscription to Twinstar and see what happens
there. I havent spoken with JH since Saturday. I hope they are all
right. Sometimes I wonder if I have blown it with them. I hope not.
They sound cool.
We went to be around midnight just about the time I had finally got
around to talking to people in chat.
It rained a lot today.
