Random Tales of F,F, and G

Arabella was walking down the hall and saw this drop-dead, literally, he was so pale, in the hot British way), gorgeous guy walking toward her. He was about 6 foot 7, kinda skinny, but not bad skinny, fiery orange hair- faux hawked of course- with a 5 o'clock shadow. She didn't recognize his face, and it would be easily so. She'd been going to this school for the past 3 years, he must be new. Oh good! She thought a reason to talk to him! And that's what she did, "Hey, I don't think I've seen you around here before, where are you from?"

Ariana (ari) saw him too, but unlike her best friend Arabella (aka bella) she was not interested in his type. She was however, interested in his friend (or at least they were walking together). "Ella" she whispered "who are they?" "I don't know Ari" she replied, but i call the red head." "You can have him" murmuring to herself so as not to be heard by bella. So we walked up to them, the new men at Westfall High, school for the "gifted" or House of Hell as we called it, but maybe things were looking up. "Hey" Ella went straight for fire locks "are you new here?" "Ya, we just transferred in from Worthing just south of London, they said that we would fit in well here. Bye the way my name is Ian and this is Eric." Ahh Eric I liked it Eric and Ariana, it fit.
while ariana and arabella were drooling over the new guys, elena was busy making fun of them. she thought it was amazing how easy it was to make them go crazy. now of course she couldn't let the looks on the girl's faces leave her...so she took out her camera and snapped a picture. then she looked over to the guys and saw that they had yet another friend. now he was cute! bright orange hair that had been faded by the chlorine, and blue eyes. now, she thought, he's the guy for me. she went over to introduce herself but before she could the hated stiffs came and talked to the guys. elena, ariana and arabella knew what this meant. the stiffs were known to sway guys off there feet and take them to the dark side. so it was up to them to save them.

Arabella saw the bright flash and rolled her eyes, Elena taking a picture of them flirting. Why did she have to be so mean? Oh well, she'd soon see the French guy standing with them, or at least, he could do an awesome French accent while hiding his hot British one.... As Arabella's eyes were adjusting back to normal light, and not blue, she noticed the stiffs shoving their overly make-upped bodies between them and the new hotties. She fought back the overwhelming impulse to yell for the guys to run while they still could, but she knew she'd just make herself look like an idiot and not come to the boy's aid either. Arabella started seething, stupid stiffs. They're the reason Arabella, Elena, and Ari called this place House of Hell...

Ari saw the "stiffs" coming up towards them all to soon but thx to elenas flash she had no time to do anything about it. The stiffs-as we called them- were just your typical popular stuck up girls who thought they ruled the school. they were not overly pretty which made it worse that every one loved them but they walked around as if they were, it was that fact that had all the males at westfall gravitating towards them. We hadn’t yet figured out what ian and erics friends name was yet because he had walked up later that the other one apparently awestruck by the schools beauty. Even though we called it house of hell even we couldnt deny the schools rustic beauty. Ari noticed that the stiffs werent having much effect on the trio, she caught erics eyes, smiled, andjerked her head toward the front hall and out the door. He smiled back and nodded. "thank you ladies but we were busy" politely brushing the stiffs of eric grabbed his comrades arms and pulled them forward and together the six of us walked defiantly off out into the warmth of the summer sun

Finally ari, arabella and elena had the hotties outside away from the stiffs. before they all got acquainted elena, arabella and ari had a heart-heart."did you see the looks on their faces" was all they said. anyway, ari and arabella went off to droll at their new friends while elena got acquainted with hers. she went up to the hottie with the faded orange hair and bright blue eyes glistening in the sunlight. she went to him and said with slight embaressment...im elena. he looked at her and relpied........

"Hey, my name iz Loic." In a perfect French accent.
"Your friend not used to flirting with guys?" Eric asked, looking at Elena blushing scarlet.
Arabella and Ari laughed, "No, she's not," Ari asked, flirting too, "I on the other hand, am great at it. Don't you think." She exagerated her flirting and batting her eyelashes. "Who is she talking to anyway?"
Ian answered, "Oh, that's Loic, he was a foriegn exchage student at our school last year. He's from France. Pretty awesome. We went to his swim meets to get out of our football practices sometimes."
"You guys close?" Arabella asked.
"Yeah, we're all great mates." Eric replied.
The word mates triggered something in Arabella's mind: they're British, and in Britian, football means... "So you guys play soccer? That's awesome! I play too!"
Ari rolled her eyes and said, "Oh, is that what you call it, "playing"? I call it looking like a talentless fool kicking around a ball."
Arabella gave her a playful glare and said, "Thanks."......

"Lena!, stop embarssing yourself and bring yourself and Loic over here." We sat under a tree to sheild ourselves from the summer sun. "So guys, this is the school for the gifted what is your gift" ari asked. "I think that we're in the wrong school" said eric "i dont see much gift. No offense we havent had any classes or anything so you may be very smart but uhh..... we werent here for smarts. Ari Bella and lena started laughing hysterically. once they had gotten their breath back ari said.."do you really think those twits you just saw in there have half a brain between them? No they dont. Noone is here for brains" "Ohh we may be in the right place after all so what are you guys here for?" asked eric "i asked first" ari retorted "ahh yes but we are new here" "are you ready eric?" ari lunged at eric and as soo as she had a good hold on him they lifted off from the ground

they all watched as ari and eric were lifted to the skies.....it figures actually....ari was always the show-off. now it was just lena, loic, bella and her mysterious-man-who-hasnt-said-like-one-word-this-entire-time. anywho...loic was watching in awe as ari and eric were soaring higher..."wow. what can you do?" lena was taken by surprise and answered...."well we each..as in us three has a gift of the elements..ari has the gift of air, bella of earth, and i of water," lena explained. loic still looked confused so she showed him what she could do....lena took loic by the hand and went to the nearest lake. she said "dont let go of me"..she then took a step on the water and stayed afloat as if she were a feather that had gracefully fallen on water.

Arabella turned to Ian and rolled her eyes, "Do I have to show you my powers, or can we just call it a day and go play some soccer?"
Ian smiled and said, "I would say we should wait for them, but Loic won't leave the water for another hour or so. He loves it. By the way, Lena will be surprised when he starts to sink." Ian laughed as he watched the two of them walk on water, "He doesn't have very good balance, and he'll be falling in 5... 4... 3.. 2... 1..." As he said this, Loic lost his balance and fell into the lake, pulling Lena with him.
Arabella turned to Ian and said, "Are they going to be ok?"
Ian smiled and said, "He's half -fish, i swear. They'll be fine. Which way are the fiields?"
Arabella smiled and said, "Follow me."
As they walked towards the soccer goals, Arabella asked, "What do you guys do? Or is that to much to ask?" She added the last part on sarcasticly.
"Complicated, let's just play some football for now, I'll show you later ON TONIGHT!" He added and winked as the stiffs walked by, completely appalled. Arabella just laughed and ran towards the nets.

Ari and Eric soared high into the sky laughing as they went. "so" yelled eric above the winds "this is what you do?" "yes" ari yelled back "and this.." time seemed to pause as all went silent "i can create a force field also to protect from sounds and the elements" "That osem, now i can show you my gift" ari stopped in mid air hovering where they were. they looked down at their friends just in time to see loic and lena to fall under water. ari gasped but eric just laughed "dont worry, loics gift is fishyness" ian and bella were off to the "football" fields so ari knew that they had time. "you said your name was ari is that short for any thing?" "ariana" "ahhh ok ariana hold that shield and look up" ari and eric watched the clear blue sky as dark rolling thunder clouds came in and rain started pouring and lighting flashed "wow" ari breathed she flew up higher straight into the storm. They hovered there at the eye of the storm, watching it churn around them "Do you control the winds too eric?" "Yes i can" Do you think i could try? i mean i can fly wich means controling air right?" "Even if i wanted too, which i dont, could i stop you?" So ariana concentrated all her will power and shoved the stom off to the east. "nice, i wish i could fly tho i would be amazing to see my storms up close all the time" "I can temporarly transfer power...." "Really? Could you do it for me just this once?" Ari smiled "are you sure your ok with this?" "Of course! Why wouldnt i be?" "ok you asked for it remember so dont get mad at me" ari leaned over and kissed eric, he was startled but he didnt pull away if anything he pushed harder. Ari pulled away"off you go" and off he went
as elena and loic came up from the water, elena relized she still had to go to class. elena was so shocked about the three of them finding hot new guys in the school she completely forgot she was AT school. " loic, im sorry but i have to go to class....um...ill see ya later." loic's smile vanished from his face," oh..um...ok...ill see ya soon." elena waved good-bye to ari and arabella and the snickered back. "oh well....one day they'll have to go to class and i won't and when that happens..." " are you talking to yourself elena?what happened to the cute guy you were with? oh and um..where's your drolling friends at?" as elena turned around she saw that she was cornered by the stiffs.

Bella waved as Lena left Loic in the cold water... poor guy. She was lucky, no more classes for today. "Do you guys have your schedules yet?" she turned to Ian and asked. As she did she saw him do a bycicle kick strate into the goal, he was a soccer god.
"Nope, they said they would have them in our dorms by tonight." Ian replied as he juggled the ball.
"Show off. So who are the lucky two who get to sare a room?"
"Loic and Eric do, I'm stuck with some American." He said this as if it was a disgusting thought, "No offense, it's just they don't apperciate, well, the good football. And he's kinda a slob." He smiled appoligeticly.
I laughed and ran up to take the ball from him. "Wanna practice PKs?"
"Sure." He walked up to the line and I got in the goal, not that I was gonna stop them, just there to retreve them. "Meet me tonight by the back entrance, k?"
"Which one?"
"Oh, you'll know where.... still have to show you my power." He smiled and kicked the ball, perfectly. Stupid show-offy Brit...
As she picked up the ball to throw it back to Ian, Bella saw Loic sprinting to where Lena had just entered the school....

Ari watched as Eric flew across the bright summer sky. After a few minutes he came back, exhilirated. I could tell by his attitude that this probably wouldnt be the last time he "stole" my power.... oh well i guess i wont mind lending itout every now and then. Even where we were, miles above ground, the heat was smothering, "Hey you know what we should do? Make it snow!!" i told him, "Lena and i could do it together, but we couldn't make the sun go away so the snow didnt last long." He agreed with my plan, he could feel the blazing sun just as well as i could, maybe better with his nonexistently tanned skin, glowing so bright in the sun it almost blinded me, ( i would have to bring that up later, you would think, being able to make the sun appear and all, that he would have a tan.) We were so busy in our plans we hadn’t paid attention to what was going on on the ground for hours probably. We started with the snow right then, why wait? He hid the sun and brought the rain and i cooled the air down so the water would freeze. It took awhile because i got the air too cold and pelted the school with sleet before i had the temperture right. Once it was snowing though we decided to allow it to continue while we went inside, i had no more classes today and it was cold. We glided down through the air, quietly though so we could sneek up on our soccer playing freaks of friends

meanwhile, lena saw that ari finally made her wish come true to make it snow.....hey....thats an idea. she looked to the stiffs surrounding her and said "well what do ya know....snow." the stiffs looked around curious...(its like they never saw snow before.....huf)..lena snuck around the coner grabbed some snow...rolled it into a nice, hard, compact ball and threw at the stiffs.HA! well that was the fun part....the next part was running from their freshly steaming heads. lena turned to run and ran straight into loic....."hey i saw you surrounded...i thought you might be in trouble.." "well,"lena said," then no,now yes..RUN!!" loic and lena ran until they couldnt run anymore. ya sure we couldve ran to the water but whats the fun in that...lena saw that bella was on the soccor field with ari coming towards her. with the 3 of them together they could do amazing things ya know.lena told loic to follow her and they made their way to the soccor field with the stiffs close behind.....perfect.

As Bella drop-kicked the ball back to Ian , she felt something wet and very cold fall on her... SNOW!!! Ian looked very confused, which only made him look hotter. Then realization dawned on both of them at the same time, Bella muttered "Ari..." while Ian screamed his old chap's name, "ERIC!!!!! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO RUIN A PERFECTLY GOOD DAY FOR FOOTBALL????"
Bella didn't understand why he was yelling, it's not like Eric could- "Why, you little git, everyday i a good day for football, and it's fun!" After she was over the fact that Ari and Eric had appeared out of thin air, she laughed at the fact Eric was calling Ian little- Ian was taller by at least 4 inches.
Ari chimed in and added, "And it's not like Bella's doing such a hot job any way."
Bella glared, rubbed her arms, and said in a steady voice, "I would hurt you, but I'm too freakin cold."
"Oy Eric, will this be done by tonight, I want to show Bella here something." Ian asked then turned to me and added, "Meet me at nine."
Bella nodded as Loic and Lena ran up. "Aren't you supposed to be in class?" she asked her friend who was at the time making and throwing perfect snowballs with her mind....
snow, esp when she had no coat on. "Hey Bella get over the snow, if u hate it so much take your giant boyfriend insinde to put on a coat...or just warm up together." Bella whipped around to glare ans ari before Eric and Ian burst int laughter. "Lena whatd you what?" Bella was curious. "I....uh.... kinda lobbed an ice ball at the stiffs. "Ha" ari eploded, she couldnt help herself "they deserved it" "Yes" agreed Lena "but now there mad and coming for me." Oh, that made a difference while the stiffs may not have had the best abilities, they could control love and lust. "We need to get out of here" Ari stated, maybe pushing into panic mode a little, she wasnt blind she saw how the stiffs had looked at the guys this morning. Bella i know your more of a ground person, so if you wanna do something go for it but uhhhh..... im flying and ill take whoever wants to get away quickest. Eric immediatly agreed but ari waited anxiously for the other to say somthing. The stiffs were moving quith fire in thier eyes.

while ari and eric got ready to hit the skies i looked at loic and he knew what i was thinking....we get to play in the water.... . just then i looked over at bella and ian...bella was looking kinda shy...everybody had a way to escape that they were willing to share....except her.."bella come on you have to use your powers..if you dont then the stiffs will surly take ian away. she just looked at lena with the well-i-dont-know face. ari and eric had already taken off..lena was still making snowballs in her mind and pellting the stiffs with them. loic was grabbing at elena trying to get her to come on. finally lena whispered something in bellas ear. she told ian to get behind her somewhere...just to keep out of her way for a while. in the meantime lena grabbed loics arm and practially threw him on the water. he looked at her.."why the sudden fear to be around bella and what did you tell her?" lena just looked at loic with slyness in her eyes.....bella gets really angry if you say the right words....
she was right....everyone looked at bella, she some how turned different....she had an eerie glow and her eyes were burning with rage.

Breath Bella, breath. "Lena, I'm going to kill you!" She yelled looking at the water, turning to see the stiffs she muttered, "but I'll do it to you guys first..." Right then Bella used her power. It was something she rarely did, bc it took forever to put it back to the way it was supposed to be. Lena could bend water. Ari could bend air. Bella could bend earth. "Have fun with this b-" Bella started but was cut off by the loud roar of moving earth. She bent up the soccer field infront of her so the stiffs were constantly running up hill. Won't take them long to wear out, those lazy-
Bella's thoughts were interupted at the most unconvienet time yet again as Ian yelled sarcasticly behind her, "Now how are we gonna play?"

ari and eric hovered a mere 20 feet in the air and watched as lena and loic disappeared into the water and as bella wore away at the stiffs small supply of energy. eventually they gave up and stalked off, not without a glare or to in our direction. We came down as lena and loic came up. We laughed and decided it was time to go into the school to sit by the fire. We figured that the stiff would have gone to their dorms so we went to the guys commons to warm up. We sat together on 3 of the many couches they had piled around the fire and talked for awile until ian got up and led bella off somewhere. Lena Eric loic and i decided a tour of the schools interior would be appropriate at the moment.

while ian and bella went outside to the newly ruined soccER field, the rest of us toured the school. it was just then that lena remembered that they were on a 2 week holiday. huh....must of slipped all our minds. . ari,eric, loic and lena stood in the middle of a hall. ari and eric decided to go one way while lena and loic went another. "so have you known them very long?" loic asked shyly.." well i pretty much just met ari but ive known bella for a while. ive had a rough start to a life and so when i finally ran away i met her at, believe it or not, a soccer field. i was just passing along with raggy clothes and a blank stare and she came up and talked to me. i was completlely surprised of course.....i mean i thought their was something seriously wrong with me but apparently not. we hung out a while and i decided to show her what my ability was. she wasnt freaked or anything...then she showed me hers...then we sorta just came here and met ari. now we're here." loic looked at her with a sorta surprised-sorry look on his face. " wow. i didnt relize you came from something like that. i thought i had it rough with growing up with out friends." then elena saw his face and said "we're not totally different you and i....we each didn't have anybody to talk to or care for us." he looked at her and said " i know. that's why i feel so comfortable with you." he bent down and kissed lena on the lips and said " you make me feel special "

“Close your eyes." Ian demanded Bella as he sat her down in the middle of an open field.
"It's dark, do I have to?" But she did before he replied. As soon as she did, she heard this creepy, crawling, growing sound around her. She felt the air grow dense around her, like she was being closed in.
Right before she started freaking out, Ian said with a half-way descent, (fake), Scottish accent, "Alright, open up lassie." She opened her eyes and couldn't help but gasp, it was wicked sweet. In what used to be a completely empty space there was now an elaborate garden. She was surrounded by green tall hedges, flowers, and trees of all sorts. It was beautiful. As she stood stupified, Ian said, "See, I kind of talk to them and tell them to grow faster. It's the best way I can explain it. See, you can't do that with animals, because they have a bigger soul. Let me compare it to a human. Let's say a human has a "whole" soul. That would mean an anmial would have "three quaters" of a soul. Plants would have the equivlent of a half of a soul. One can controll anything with a half a soul or less. Anything living atleast has a soul. Does it make sense?"
Bella nodded and said, "This is so.... ok, loss of words. Might be the equivellent of this." She pulled him down, a long ways down, and kissed him, for awhile.
Later when they were just sitting nestled togetheron a low hanging branch, Bella said, "My power is more impressive then what you saw today." she smiled, always feeling she should explain why she couldn't fly or survive underwater, "I can move earth yes, but I can move it much more than what you saw today. If I could muster all my power, theoreticaly I could move the Earth off of it's orbit. Not that I would want to. But it can be used for good too." She laughed and said, "When I'm really sucking at playing soccer, I can just bend the field a little bit in the direction I want the ball to go, make the ground a bit harder here, a bit softer there..." She felt Ian chuckle next to her, "Of course, I guess I could move the hurteling astroid out of the Earth's way too..."

Eric and Ari were wandering around the school wondering what to do when they happened to look out a window and see the snow. Ari sighed nad leaned back onto erics chest "its beautiful" "yes it is" he agreed wrapping his arms around her. "What do you guys do around here for the two weeks of nothing" "well this and that, we really just talk alot and go outside and do wutevr we want. what do you want to do now?" "well it kinda late" he admitted "why dont we try to talk?" so they sat there in the empty room and talked. Ari admitted how hard her childhood had been with her parents never really caring and all, and how she was the newest addition to the group (even tho shd been there for 2 years) and eric told her of he and ian's life on the streets. They talked for hours before realizing how late it was. They decided that they should probably go back upstairs and to bed but they didnt really want to leave each others company. Since it was break there werent really any curfew rules set so eric and ari went up to the guys common room again and fell asleep together on oneof the couches.
In the morning when they woke up they found that the others were there too. Apparently they all got close and cuddly or the stiffs were really mad and they couldnt get back into the girls dorm. The snow was still on the ground outside...in july. Everyone agreed that while snow was good, today would be a good day for warmth as they showed the guys around the grounds, so Ari melted the snow and they all went outside for a warm summer day filled with nothingness.
As Eric brought out the sun and melted the snow, Lena threw one last snow ball at Ari who was warming the air. "So now that everyone is aquianted with everyone else's gifts, Ian, will you tell us yours? Or is it just a "soccer playing person club"?" Ari asked, glancing at Bella. Lena realized something had happened last night, but she hadn't put together that Ian had showed Bella his power. The influence of too much clorine...
"What do we plan on doing today?" The handsom Loic asked. "Ooooo can you show us your super-secret-hideout from the stiffs?" Ian asked sarcasticly. The three girls looked at eachother and smiled. "May be tomorrow, but you can't get out of telling us your gift that easily Ian." Lena retorted. Ian rolled his eyes and as Ari and Lena stood there staring at him, he brought up two vines of ivy that wrapped around their legs. It took them a while to notice, but when they did, they screamed. Once they realized that everyone else was laughing, they were less worried and laughed themselves. "Impressive... but let's not do that again." Lena said...

"We'll see about that." Ian laughed.
"Want a tour?" Bella asked them.
Ari leaned over and wispered to Bella, "Depends what of, the guys dorms... why not."
Bella sighed and said, "Gotten your scheduels yet guys?"
"Acctually, we haven't even unpacked yet, we've been quite, um, distracted..." Loic replied.
"Then let's go!" Eric responded inocently. Ari burst into laughing while Bella tried to hold it in by looking at the sky. Eric glanced at them and decided he didn't want to know. "If you guys kept us away from our important unpacking and getting our scheduels... and Ian meeting his wonderful room mate, then you guys should be up for helping us."
Lena hadn't caught on to what Ari and Bella were laughing at and agreed to it. She never caught on most of the time, and most of the time she didn't want to.

"Who's room first?" Ian asked.
"What, you don't think it would be nice to leave you and Bella alone with that lovely American bloke?" Eric said sarcasticly.
"I don't think it would be nice to the guy to have Bella and Ian in a dorm, alone, with him.... " Ari joked.
"Thanks." Bella and Ian both said flatly.
The rest of them smiled and voted to go through their stuff first and then try to scare Ian's room mate out of the room...

They went up the the dorms to get the guys unpacked. Eric and Loics room was first. "so which side is yours?" Ari asked innocently. Eric pointed to the left. Both guys had only 2 bags for the entire year. Ari went to eric first bag. Eric was at her side in a flash. "you really dont need to help me" "If i help well be done much faster" ari began unzipping his first bag. He caught her hands and managed to maneuver their bodies so he ended up between her and the bags "No, no" he was adamant "i can do it myself, really." "hmmm, something in there you dont want me to see?" it wasnt really a question more of a statement "Maybe" he acknowledged, "but if there was and i didnt want to show you, do you really think that i would show you?"
Ari wandered off towards lena ian and bella at the back of the room. Eric unpacked rapidly, shoving his things into random drawers ending in a haphazard mess. He was back by ari quickly. Loic was longer in finishing, being careful to put everything in its place. After they were done they went down the hall to Ians room. "Can i help you unpack or do have secrets like eric?" bella was curious. "Nope, I dont have any secrets" he smiled angelically but turned around to wink at eric "besides, if i did i probably would have hidden them in erics stuff." Ian finished quickly with the help of bella.
"So what are we going to do now?" ian asked. "Well" ari replied "you dont have your scheduals yet" "NO" eric and ian cried simoultaniously, horrified at the thought of school. Eric dropped down onto the floor refusing to go any further "Why dont we just stay here all day,together?" "Thats not fair" Ari complained dropping lithly down on his lap "i cant drag you out of here, besides" she dropped her voice down low enough that only her could hear it, "we have another week and a half without class to be together" "Ok" he relented, "but do you think there will actually be anyone in the office? it is a break after all. Ari and Bella laughed "our school is like freakin big brother, they see everything, someone has to be there to watch dont they? Of course someone will be there.
They made the trek across campus to the main office building and got the guys scheduals. After they were back on the grounds outside the dorms they compared scheduals. They were all taking basically the same classes, and the required ones then eric and ari were taking astronomy, loic and lena were taking marine biology, and ian and bella were taking geology.
"soo..... that hide out" ian hadnt lost intrest. Ari laughed and retorted "sooo.......... that secert in erics bag" Eric laughed "that, you dont need to know and i dont feel a burning desire to tell you, but i know that you have a very very strong desire to show us your hideout." Ari folded, he was right. Ari lena and bella lead the guys across the fields over to the other side of the lake and stopped in the middle of a medow. "ohhh.... wow this is very impressive" ians scarcasm was so charming. "Go back then, or you could shut up and close your eyes" Ari retorted. So ian eric and loic shut their eyes as bella opened the ground in front of us into a hollow below. Ari had a thought quickly and quietly she told lena to make a pool deep enough to fall into, there were no steps and the ground to the hollow was at least six feet below. The pool was quicly formed "ok are you ready?" ari asked, "and do you trust us." They looked uneasy but nodded and kept their eys closed. Ari lena and bella situated their friends around ditterent sides of the opening. "ok trust us, hold your breath and fall when we push you." They looked widly alarmed, but they were pushed before they could see what was happening. the girls jumped down after them landing on the outside of the pool. Loic came up first followed closly by the other all looking enraged. The girls were laughing hysterically kneeling bye the edge of the pool. "what, dont tell me you cant swim" ari managed to get out before disolving into another fit of giggles. The guys swam over to the edge to get out, but intstead pulled the others in with them. That cleared up the laughing quickly but as everyone climbed out and lena cleared the pool they broke into fresh shrieks and roars of laughter. "yes very funny ladies, but now how do you propose we dry off?" loic was curious. "Warm air moron" ari counter attacked. The air became instantly warmer and they were dry quickly.
"Would you like to look around?" ari inquired. "what theres more" there was ian charming sarcasm again, at least he balanced out bellas inability to use it. "Yes jackass, theres more." Eric laughed at him and they followed the tunnnel into a cavern. there were chairs and snacks and sofa beds and even a library, but the stuff wasnt the most amazing part of it all. It was kept at a perfect tempeture, the walls were intricately carved into delicate figures, and there were little waterfalls continously flowing down the rock walls.
Ari led ian over to one of the sofa beds and sat down in front of him leaning back on his chest while the other got simalarily situated. "so...?" ari prompted "wow" was all that was said in reply Ari laughed and reached back to twine her hands behind erics neck while he pulled her closer to entangle her in his arms wrapped snugly around her waist. "PDA PDA ewwwww" lena shreaked. Ari lobbed and empty pop bottle at her at turned her attention away from her. "this is where we come to do nothing and to get away from everything and everyone." "Wow.... you guys made this?" mister not so sarcastic now breathed.
The break passed quickly that way, the guys quickly realized there were short cuts to the hideout, of course bella had to be there to get in, but you could fly, swim, or take hidden tunnels to bypass the lake quicker. The girls' dorms were empty most of the time. They either slept in the guys common room or the hide out, but certain people felt the need to sleep in the dorm and guilt tripped other people into sleeping in thier own rooms also. towards the end of the break everyone who had left was coming back to the school so dorms were filled every night so noone started any rumors that may or may not be true.
We tried to avoid the stiffs as much as possible. The stiffs whose names happened to be Marissa, Claire, and Zoe. After awhile the guys sensed there was another reason to avoiding them other than just to keep them from flirting with them. Eventually they caught on and asked what their powers were. "Marissa can make you love, Claire can make you lust, and Zoe can manipulate ur actions. Of course they're not allowed to use them on students or staff, but that doesnt stop them. So now that you guys are here we try to aviod them as much as possible. They agreed and stayed clear. One day we were sitting in the guys common room, the one place the stiffs couldnt come, only guys could get in and they could only bring one guest, and lena had left something in her dorm so she left promising to be right back. after half an hour we were all worried, but lena didnt like to b bothered so we left her alone. As another half hour passed we were getting up to go find her when she burst into the door the the common room, breathless.
"what took so long lena? are you ok?" ari and bella were concerned. "Zoe was in the room." she said flatly as if that explained everything, and it mostly did. "how did you get away?" she went over to sit next to loic. he took her hand and help it while she told the story. "I went to the room and the she was, just sitting cross legged on her bed as if she had been waiting for me. i tried to turn around an run but i couldnt, my legs wouldnt move. After i gave up tring to run i found myself walking over to my bed and sitting on it unable to move off. Zoe unfolded herself, got up and stalked over to my bed where she sat. 'Lena, i know that you dont really want to see Loic anymore.' her voice was deep and smooth like silk 'He doesnt really like you you know, its just a pity thing, his friends goin out with yours, you were the left overs.' She contiunued to rant on like that for awhile before i relized i was nodding my head, agreeing with her. Then one thing she hadnt thought to secure was my mouth so i screamed as lound as i could hoping someone was in the dorms other that claire and marissa. I was lucky i heard the footsteps coming and so did zoe she released her hold on me and leaped up and jolted to the other side of the room before the door burst open and Jasmine came in 'whats wrong? i heard screaming' i looked at her gratefully and she saw zoe, she understood "sorry false alarm i guess thanks though.' so i ran down here as fast as i could and here i am" she finished. Loic put his arms around her a brushed his lips againds her cheek bone mumring his disagreement with zoe's remarks and promising that he did feel that way about her
There were only a few more days util school startded and we never went back to the dorms between them unless we were all together. The rules were more enforced when school was in session.

finally and sadly the last day of break arrived. ari bella and lena walked around the lake with ian eric and loic. well that is to say ari bell ian and eric walked around. lena and loic walked on water. loic was still telling lena that zoe was wrong about everything....lena knew so she decided to tell him why zoe hated her so much."well it all started a couple years ago when i first arrived. i overcourse was an orphin and didnt have all the nice things everyone else did. i hadn’t met ari and bella yet so i had no friends. she came up to me and acted all sweet and told me that she would be my friend. she told me to walk with her so of course i had to.........while i didnt know it she was controlling my very actions. she walked me to where her friends were..the stiffs...and they all just laughed at me. just sat and laughed. i was new and i couldnt move...i didnt know what was going on. but then ari and bella came and told the stiffs to get lost......they did but it wasnt over. so they became my best friends...they were like sisters..and one day the past came back to haunt us. it turned out that the stiffs went to a different school for a time to get more powerful with the powers......and they returned..sadly.. to stay. of course this was the day that ari and bella had finals and i had already gotten done with mine and i was just waiting. zoe happend to walk by and see me. i instantly knew something was wrong for i couldnt move. i looked up the the face of evil....zoe. she started talking to me in that creepy yet beautiful voice. and i listend to every single word. but what she did not know was that i had spend much time to gain control of my power as well. so i summened the water with my mind and wiped her out with a wave of pond water. i thought it was hiliarious but it wasnt so much. it turned out that she had "just gotten her hair, nails, and brows done....and also got new clothes." so she threw a fit and told me that if ever a guy would come around she would steal his heart away from me and make me suffer alone. so thats why she hates me so and why i like to keep you close." they stopped, loic looked at lena and kissed her......lena knew that it would take the end of the world to break them apart. they rejoined the rest of the group and started to walk toward the school. just then the stiffs came from behind the door........"we arent done with you ladies yet." it looks like the end of the may not be so far off afterall.

from hers to make a bunch of daisies. He looked up and saw the worry in her face. As he grabbed the flowers, instead of handing them to Bella like he planed, he felt himself moving to Zoe and giving them to her. As confused as he was, he understood completely why he would pick her, she was gorgeous, when he looked at her, he felt his heart do little leaps for joy! Why am I spending time with Bella when this is in the same school... crossed his mind. He dropped Bella's hand- he didn't want Zoe and her friends to think he would ever hang out with these girls, something told him that would not be a good idea. May be if she likes the flowers, we could... (left this part out for the consideration of all man kind... lol) After Zoe took the perfect daisies, her friends started to giggle. Typical girls, Ian thought to himself, oh well, if they're friends of my love's, they're friends of mine... "IAN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!" Bella asked, but she knew what had happened, stupid stiffs. The stiffs smirked and stoped their flow of powers. All of the sudden Ian was embarassed and disgusted. He grabbed the flowers from Zoe and threw them on the ground. Of course, this would not have been complete without the grinding them in. He then bent down on the spot and grew three dozen more for Bella.
"I'm so sorry, I don't know what happened." He handed her the flowers and gave her an apoligetic look.
"It's ok I-" Bella started.
"You know what happened don't you Mountain?" CLarie asked Bella, Mountain was their nic-name for her because she moved earth and they thought it was inferrior. "But apparantly you haven't explained it to Flower Power here." She added with an evil smirk.
Her possy started to laugh and then Marissa added, "That's a good one... Flower Power...." She chuckled and added, "A little bit of this, a little bit of that... you see, you can't beat us, this is just the beginning." They all tried out their new evil laughs, (because they had new ones each week, one could never tell when they were coming because they varied so much), and strutted away.
"Wow... that was..." Loic said, at a loss for words. They were all standing in shock, staring at Bella and Ian who were standing inches appart both holding on to the flowers, staring in eachother's eyes.
"... interesting?" Eric said, trying to finish Loic's sentence and get the attention away from the private conversation his mate was having that no one could hear.
Lena and Ari caught on and tried to break the tension in the air. Lena said, "Well, look at it this way Ian, you can join I H T S G (I Hate The Stiff Gits) club, they've given you a nic-name. I must say they were much more creative for your's than they were for Bella's. I mean come on, Mountian?"
Ian and Bella finally looked away from eachother when Jamie, the keeper for the guys' soccer team, came up and said to Bella and Ian, "You two gittin hitched or somethin'?" (He's from Texas.)
Bella blushed and laughed at what Lena said, trying to also realive tension. "Time to eat?" Ari asked...
"Time to eat" eric laughed as he agreed with ari. They were all ready to get away from this. They walked in side staying close together. They were more worried now than ever about issues with the stiffs.
The Westfall dinner hall was more like a giant café than an actual cafeteria. There were mostly small tables set high up so they had bar stool like chairs. There was a serving bar full of an assortment of food to choose from. The six of them got dinner and went to sit at a table. It was never really hard to find a table because meals were served starting and 7am till about 8:30 pm. Dinner was uneventful as usual. Afterward they went to the boys common room, they wanted to enjoy their last night before school started back up.
"Whats your schedule look like tomorrow?" Ari asked
"Genealogy first" eric glumly replied
there was a murmur of agreement from bella ian lena and loic. genealogy was a class that all students were required to take at westfall. apparently they were trying to "trace their ancestry and broaden their knowledge about their past". What they were really doing was allowing the staff to look at their past to see if others had "abilities".
"How are we gonna work that one out" Ian was skeptical. "We were street boys."
"I was an orphan!" Lena cut in.
"I suppose your "broadening" wont be a detailed as the rest of ours" Ari told them. "So what do you have second?"
"ive got astronomy, physics, statistics, and physcology" Eric groaned
"ive got all that except enstead of astronomy weve got marine biology" loic said for both he and lena.
"same here only weve got geology" ian agreed
"so what are we gonna do our last night of freedom" ari wondered aloud "its already late so theres not much to do" she siged and leand up against eric. "you know, its amazing how the six of us can take up most of your main room." she laughed.
The other guys in the dorm always seemed to shy away from them. Eric and ian had some kind of look about them that just made people stay back. They werent going to make many friends here... of the male persuasion anyway... apparenty their look was very attractive to the females around the campus.
"well," bella interjected, "maybe we should give the guys back their room and go back to our dorms"
"you really dont have to go yet do you?" Ian gave bella a pained look
"yes" she laughed at him "well see you tommorow."
She went over to get ari who still hadnt left the confine of erica arms.
"cant i just stay here for the night?" she inquired with a wicked grinn towards bell.
with that statement erics face brightened considerably and his grip tightened. bella laughed at her, she had no doubt that ari was serious and would have stayed the night, but no, not yet at least, with classes just starting and all. doing that was a severe step... espicially when it was between two "specials"... then it was an even bigger step.
"Nope, you're coming with me" bella eventually got ari away from eric and with a final glance back they went to their dorms.
the girls literally got 5 mins of sleep that night they spent the whole night talking about the guys and what fun the year was going to be....the next morning they met up with them and walked to breakfast.
since this was the last time they were probably going to see each other today the took advantage of it.
ari and eric were interlocking arms...and lips...bella and ian were staring at each other and laughing....while lena and loic were having a deliciously fun food fight..of course...
after breakfast they separated each going to geneology. eric, bella and loic went to one class while lena ari and ian went to another room...hey at least they each knew someone in there....but the worst part was that at least one of the stiffs were in each of their classes....oh fun.
later that day loic and lena met at their marine bio class having spent an exhausting day apart from each other they embraced in a giant huge and each gave a small "hi" kiss.....
everyone met up at diner to exchange gossip about each of their classes.....they were having a good conversation to until you know who came up behind....actually you dont know who....
"miss lena and miss ari i need to speak with you two now....." oh no...we were in deep with the dean of the school....crap.
As Ari and Lena threw puzzled looks over their shoulders, Bella turnedto the guys and said, "Ha, sucks to be them.... who wants to help mewith geneology?" She smiled and cocked her head while the guys turned and all gave her weird looks. "Oh, come on they'll befine, and there's nothing we can do about it now... well, i mean, come on, I've got homework."
Relization dawned on their wonderful faces. Eric said, "Ahhh, so you're the 'good kid', eh?"
"Yep, the Hermione of the group.... just not as smart... no that would definatly be Ari... but while she's not here, I still need help with my geneology. I mean it's like my parents aren't really my parents." Bella rolled her eyes and the guys laughed.
"Oh, so you're telling me tracing a family that you actually have is harder than tracing one you don't know anything about?" Ian joked.
"Duh."
They all laughed and went to the library.

"You sure she's going to be ok?" Loic asked for the millionthtime. Eric had only stoped when Bell had thrown something athim... she was thinking about doing the same treatment to Loic here...
"Yes, but you might not be..."
"I see what you mean about how hard this is... I'm glad I have the excuse of no parents." Ian added after pouring over Bella's ancestory.
"Three hours is enough, I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. If their not back by tomorrow, I'll come to you guys at 3 in the morning, sound good?"
Loic and Eric were going to saysomething, but reailzed they weren't going to get a better deal, and bid her a good night. Ian walked her back to the girls' dorm, kissed her goodnight, and went back to his room....
Ari and Lena walked followed the dean towards her office. It was on the other side of the campus from the cafateria. Once they got there Dean Kennedy opened her office and let them in.
"sit down ladies" she gestured towards two of the many chairs sitting in her office.
Ari and Lena sat down nervously. "What are we here for"
The Dean smiled at them, "well, i heard some, rumors about you two and two of the new boys"
"What would those rumors be dean"
"Well ive heard that you might be treating them unfairly... maybe discriminating against them because they arent from around here."
"Dean, wherever you heard this information, im sure they must have misunderstood something. We would never treat anyone badly."
"My sources were very reliable"
"It must have been a mistake"
"Now miss Ariana, it may be possible that it was a mistake, but i doubt it. Dont insult my intelegence or my sources, i would have expected better from you two!"
Ari could see that it was pointless to argue. "Yes I apologize Dean, maybe if you were to talk to the boys?"
"Yes that is a good idea, i will call them down then after i talk to them i expect you to apologize to them."
"Yes Dean"
"very well, you are excused" "those stupid stiffs......i could...could..."
calm down ari....jeez we just got off the hook. but yeah i know how you feel. i wonder why they did that.
its the stiffs, what other reason for is there??
ari and lena walked back to the boys dorm to see eric and loic pacing restlessly. they looked up and grinned."man we thought you two were toast." wheres bella? "oh she went back to her dorm she didnt really seem worried that you two were in the deans office." ya well we've been called their a lot so ya know its not unusal."they all grinned. ari and lena spent the next couple hours telling them what happened in the office....ari in erics arms and lena in loics warm embrace.
ari and lena finally left the boys dorm and went back to theirs. they were about to enter the dorm when they heard a comotion coming from inside. they stopped and listened. "your two little friends got off lucky....we thought for sure the dean would throw them out and then the boys would be ours....but not tonight...oh well we know that your so called boyfriend is weak in the mind when it comes to you so he wont be to easy to take away from you...." then silence.then laughing....and crying.ari and lena walked in just as the stiffs were walking back to their rooms. bella lay on the floor sobbing. lena ran to her to comfort her and make her relax. ari just stood there cursing under her breath.
"its ok bella....they wont take ian away from you he loves you more than they can even imagine."
"but what if their right....you saw him the other morning....all a sudden he just forgot about me...i just dont know about him....."bella yelled..and stalked off to her room.
ari and lena stood there stunned....they never saw her like that before.
"they're getting to her lena.....soon they'll get to us."

Bella woke up the next morning just in time to throw on some shoes and run to her first hour class. Loic and Eric had saved her a seat in the back of the room, as usual. "Running late?" Loic chuckled.
"We thought you weren't going to come today, Ari said you weren't feeling well last night, they seemed a little worried. They just said you needed sometime to yourself." Eric added.
The last night came rushing back all at once. Bella threw her head down on the table and groaned. "Yes, actually, I think I'm gonna go to the hideout. If they ask where I am, tell them. But don't tell Ian, I need sometime to think." her muffled voice came through her arms. Loic and Eric gave each other worried glances over her head. They agreed and decided to talk about it after she fled, Lena and Ari hadn't told them what had happened. "Thanks..." Bella got up and turned in her half finished assignment and left. It was easy to get out of this class, Professor Cooks was very unobservant, and no one could figure out what her power was. The girls joked that it was the ability to lose her mind for times and just go blank as a corps.

Bella ran with all her might to the middle of the meadow. As soon as she was on her favorite cushy couch, she started crying again. She hated the fact the stiffs could get her like this. It just wasn't fair, Loic and Eric couldn't fight off Zoe's powers either. No one could, it was the only reason the stiffs passed, and so easily convinced the dean. It was just the fact they did it to Ian. She turned on some music and came up with a plan... or at least tried to, it would be much easier with the other two...

"where was bella during breakfast today?"
Lena Ari and Ian were sitting it there geneology class the mornig after bellas...scene. Ari muttered a string of curses under her breath and lena looked at her warily. Why did they have to be in seperate classes? There were right next door to eric and loic, ari only wanted to explain this once and she was sure how much to explain without bellas permission.
"she didnt sleep well last night. she didnt feel well this morning." Ari felt bad saying this, while it wasnt a lie it was really the truth either.
"i wish shed just with me" he put in wistfully "im sure shed sleep better"
Ari smirked at his comment. Typical really, thats all he could think about.
"I dont think shes ready for that yet. Besides thats a huge level of commitment, especially for...well for peolpe that go to school here."
Ian looked at her puzzeled. They didnt know?! How could they not know. She made a mental note to make sure eric knew about that.
"Well, when she wants to, bella can fill you in on that its not really my place."
"What about you and eric?" ian interjected
Ari gave him a wicked smile, he was jealous, ha, very jealous it seemed. "well, im not bella now am i" she retorted offhandedly."But i will need to make sure that he knows about that."
After class they met up with eric and loic. Ian look worried that bella was nowhere to b seen. Ari may be the smart one but she was way more likely to cut classes than bella, she was the good one.
"I told you ian, shes sick. dont go find her either, i dont want you sick too. Lena why dont you and he go up to the library and start in on geneology well catch up."
Lena caught on and took off with ian in tow.
"wheres bella?" ari asked once ian was safely out of earshot
"she went to the hideout." loic informed her.
"ya" eric added "she barely made it into class before she broke down. wuts up with her?"
ari told then about the night before, the unaltered version.
"wow" eric said after she was done "no wonder she didnt want us to tell ian. Hes to weak to withstand those freaks." loic nodded
"No" she had to make them understand "true he cant withstand them but neither can you. They havent tried it on you but they will, i have no doubt. Dont get cocky and think u can hold them off, you cant. shes worried, we all are, and she doesnt want ian to see that or he will try and console her and that wont help. No matter what he says he cant promise anything"
"So what do we do?"
"you" ari nodded towards loic, "go find lena and keep ian busy. while we go get bella." she grab his hand and pulled him out of the school.
Once they were out side ari and eric lurched of the ground and flew over the lake to the entrance to the hideaway.
"BELLA" ari yelled down "open the door now"
"Go away!" her muffled pleas came from below thier feet
"No we came to help and we arnt leaving until we do" this time eric took his turn yelling
"You brought eric too?" she yelled back incredulous
the ground opened right underneath their feet, they landed in a heap of tangled limbs on the floor. As they untangled them selves they heard her from across the room.
"Ya, glad you two are having fun over there. Thanks for helping guys." Bella spat out.
"Dont go off on me! YOU opened the ground right under our feet and dont tell me you didnt know because you did. Its your fault we landed like that so dont make it sound like we were making out on the floor in front of you." by the time ari finished her rant eric had gotten up and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Great lot of help youre being, no one invited you why dont you just go away."
"Because you will sit here in self pity all day, and while that may be okay for you i dont want to have to put up with ian all day....or maybe i should just send him down here." Eric spoke this time he could tell ari was still mad.
"NO! Dont send him down here!"
"Then why dont you come up with us?" eric asked reasonably
"because they're up there."
"Yes, and so is ian, without you there watching. More avalible than ever for the taking." eric was sure this would get her and he was right.
"Fine lets go" she stood up and they headed off towards the school.

lena took ian to the library...but not in silence. ian was whinning all the way there...."i need to see bella...its been so long.." for the love of god its you two have been away for 24 hours...get over it.
loic came running up the stairs and found the two of them on computers....ian was chatting with some nerds who think that they have been stabbed in the back by their girlfriends...ian didnt know that their girlfriends were palm pilots..loic went running to lena and said breathlessly...."they're coming....:"lena knew from there what was going on...it was a trap....
ari bella and eric went up to the library but found it deserted...
thats odd didnt i tell lena and loic to bring ian up here...???ari looked at eric and worry spread across their faces.
they ran to the boys dorm and searched it up and down...and no lena, loic or ian. so then they ran to the girls dorm and found in utter disgust loic and ian feeding the stiffs grapes...how disgusting....lena was in the corner crying and screaming to loic..."STOP IT LOIC ....ITS JUST A SPELL...I KNOW YOU LOVE ME....PLEASE.." she ran up to loic and tried to pry him away from zoe...but he pushed her away ....she tried again but this time he grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the ground....she yelped in agony....
bella saw ian and went up to him...she was so upset with the stiffs..and ian..she just lost it. she went up to ian and punched him in nose. he went down. he came back up not to feed the stiffs but to hug bella.."oh my god 24 hours seemed like an eternity.." it was unbelieveable by punching ian in the face she had knocked the thoughts of the stiffs right out of him....interesting...
ari and eric were standing in the doorway...ari pushed eric out and told him not to come in...she didnt want the stiffs to notice. she looked to lena and saw that loic had just grabbed her arm and threw her down..she was now craddling her arm..she then looked to bella and saw her storming over to ian then punching him in the face...wow. what she saw next was incredible. the punch had thrown off the stiffs enchanment. knowing this new piece of information she went over to loic and punched him in the face. he was suddenly "awakend" and looked around.
zoe and the other stiffs saw that their party was over and ran for it...chickens....
loic looked around the room...and saw lena on the floor craddling her arm...he went down to her and said lena what happend?she looked up at him with tears streaming down her face and ran off into her room.loic looked at ari and said what happend?
ari had explained what happend to loic and bella had done the same to ian.
loic and ian both explained what had happend to them...they just came in the library and grabbed lena...i went toward her but then i just sorta went blank...then i guess they took us back here to feed them..ugg i totally need to get that outa my head..i cant believe we were feeding them...
ari and loic were sitting on the couch at one end and bella and ian at the other end...they still had some things to settle out but they were pretty much over it. loic was sitting in the chair by the fire..lena still hadnt come out of her room. ari and bella went in earlier to see if she was alright....it turned out the loic had bruised her arm were he grabbed her...she was still pretty upset. she told them that the stiffs put them under the enchantment and made her sit and watch until either they got bored or until everyone else showed up. ari and bella went outside and told loic...he was heartbroken...they all knew he wouldnt do that on purpose..
the next day they went to their classes...lena wouldnt talk to loic..and ari bella ian and eric were there to help...loic knew he needed to do something for her but didnt know what...
bella and ian went to the soccer field and played some football..ari and eric leaned against each other beside a tree....lena was no where to be seen... but loic was swimming in the lake.they all finished with their activities and went to dinner. there loic caught up with lena and apolized over and over....he must said something really special because lena leaped into his arms and kissed him....the gang was whole again....
they all promised each other to be around one another from now on...because they knew that the stiffs attack when the group is separated.....they all went back to the dorms after dinner...but not without long good night kisses..to wait and see what was in store for them tomorrow.

"GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!" Bella yelled as she ran around the field with her hands in the air. Ian chased her and tackled her down. They fell laughing on the lovely green field where tons of daisies had just magically appeared. "Can you sing?" Bella asked Ian.
Ian blushed and said, "Well, Eric and I have a lot of talents..." he gave her a flirtatious glance and continued, "When we were hungry, sometimes Eric would out his fiddle and we'd sing on the street corner."
"That's cool... but why did you blush?"
"Well, I did say street corner, and well...."
"Ohmygosh, your a man who-"
"NO! Someone just tried to pick us up once.... did offer a good price though...."
It was too much, Bella fell back laughing. She looked at his face and added, "Sorry, what type of songs did you sing dear?"
"Wipe that wicked grin of your face...." Ian rolled his eyes and added, "We sang some Irish, but I can pretty much sing anything. Eric on the other hand..."
"Does he still have his fiddle?"
"Yeah, that was one of the things in his bag..." Bell gave him a sideways glance at the way he said one, but didn't say anything about it. "What do you say we get back to the dorm? Before the IHTSG club starts without us?" Bella smiled and grabbed his hand.
On their way back they ran into Lena and Ari running at them like banshees. "Woa there mates! What's wrong... where are Loic and Eric?" Ian asked quickly.
Lena and Ari laughed, "Oh don't worry, they're just in the dean's office... by the way, the dean's looking for you Ian."
Bella gave them a confused look, wondering why everyone was thinking this was soooo funny. Ian gave her hand a squeeze and said, "Don't worry love, the stiffs have a control of the dean, but they won't be in there when she asks us if you guys are miss treating us."
On the way to the office, Ari and Lena explained to Bella what the dean had wanted to talk to them about earlier. "You know, this would be much easier if the dean was on our side...." Bella said after they had finished.
"You guys just sit out here, scream and start punching each other if the stiffs come." Ian said as he went in.
"Thanks babe." Bella said, trying to be sarcastic.
"So guys, I think we need a better plan than just not leaving each other's side constantly." Lena said.
"I agree, but what?" Ari asked.
"I don't know, we'll figure it out later.... but tonight I vote for staying at the guys." Bella added.
"WHAT?!?!" Lena and Ari both said... for different reasons. Lena because this meant Bella was giving Ari and Eric way to much space. And Ari... well, kinda for the same reason, but she was happy about it.
"Of course, Ian and I will sleep in the commons, I don't think he likes his room mate. Lena can join us with Loic if she likes. I'm not even gonna offer it to you Ari, because I know you wouldn't like it. Just be careful about-" but she was cut off by the guys coming out laughing. "What happened? Oh and we have different sleeping arrangements..."

"Sleeping arrangements?" eric asked hopefully. Ian threw him a jealous look he knew that bella would never....
"yes sleeping arrangements" ari laughed at is outright ecitement. "but first, what did u do to the dean to come out laughing like that."
"oh that, well...."
Eric proceded to tell them that the dean got hold of him and loic first and took them up to her office to ask about ari and lena tauning them. they had truthfully told her that they hadnt been teased and it must have been a mistake but the dean would hear it. Thats when she had called ian up and asked him. 'Ari?' the dean started. why would he use a nickname if she was bullying him? Maybe she should have believed the others 'No we talk but really spend more time with her friend bella dean.' 'So you havent been made fun of at all?' 'No ma'am' 'you see dean,' eric had cheated and flashed her a brilliant smile. her had flitted up to hide a gasp 'he is a student' 'this all must be a mistake, or a lie. but we have not been tortured.' 'well i really doubt that claire and her friends young sir, they are very good students' 'but you think ari and hers are cruel?' 'well, no i guess it was a mistake i am sorry for the trouble' and she look sincerely sorry that smile she gave eric may have helped her along to.
By the time he finished his story everyone was laughing so hard they could barely breath, all save eric who had managed to keep a straight face. That fact made it all the funnier when he had acted out the scene, espicially the dean friendly wave goodbye when they left her office.
"Eric you absolute cheat! Your smile was overkill" Ari slapped him playfully on the arm.
Eric tryed to look hurt "hey, maybe i should go back and complain. you are trying to abuse me."
that was to much ari leaped at him a proceded to try and pin him down. Her plan backfired and she ended up pinned down instead. He looked down at her and gave her his smile that could apparently impress teachers.
"i win"
"So, if you two are quite finished, what changed in our sleeping arangements?" ian was curious even if he couldnt be in private with bella.
"Well," ari said while trying to etract herself from erics grip, "we decided that until we come up with a plan for the stiffs we should stay as close together as possible. We cant trust you three alone at all."
"ahhh... so where eactly will everyone be sleeping." ian asked.
bella took her cue. "well, i was under the impression that you werent to fond of your room mate so i figured we could sleep on one of the couches."
"oh..."ian tried to hide the fact that the corners of his lips were turing down.
"yes" bella continued. "Lena and loic will join us in the common room. That will leave loic bed open for ari up in the dorm room." she smiled at ari knowing full well that loics bed would be made up and unslept in in the morning."
"but" ian cut in "i thought that you said that something happened when....."
"That ian" ari stopped him mid-sentance "is something for certain people to talk to with other certain people. A private type of conversation."
Eric gave her a questioning glace but she smirked at him nodded at him. Silently promising to tell him later. They were almost late for dinner by that time. After dinner they had to finish homework. Geneology was proving very hard for everyone but loic and ari, which was odd because Bella had parents just as well and ari and loic did. It was getting quite late by the time everyone was done so they went to bed. as eric and ari walked up the stairs ian coudl be hears asking what the thing was. Ari laughed and then steeled herself for what she had to tell eric, apparently he didnt know, would he change his mind?
"so....?" eirc prompted
"Well," ari mused "i dont really know where to start"
"Maybe from where ian found out about something i dont know."
"Yes, maybe that would be the place to start. well earlier this morning he was asking about bella and i told him she hand't slep well that night he got all wistful on me and his comment was 'if only she would stay with me im sure she would sleep better' i recall telling him that bella wasnt comfortabe with that or that kind of commitment, espicially the commitment that comes from that with people like us."
Eric looked at her curiously. This was going to be the hard part.
"...well. I told him that it wasnt really my place to tell him, he would have to ask bella. I knew that i was going to have to tell you this at some point, but when she decided to "change the sleeping arrangements" it came a bit sooner that i had expected. so i guess i might as well get it out now... so you know."
She paused here. He didnt say anything he could tell that this was hard for her.
"So when people like us, special people, do ...well, do... its different than when regular people do. Do you remember the first time i kissed you and you could fly?"
He nodded
"Well, whe we do, that, it works just the same way, only permanently, and obviously power exchanges are optional, when weve kissed after that you cant fly and i cant control weather, but this echange isnt optional but it is permanent. We will be linked, forever."
She let her last statement hang there. He had to get this, it wasnt a joke it was real. He didnt say anything so she continued.
"That would mean that when to people, people like us, do that then those to people are together forever. After awhile their power would bond with the others and one would become just as much another as the other is himself. Do you understand?"
"I... I think so."
"Good. So if one were to decide they were tired of the other and go find someone else it would cause both immense physical and mental pain, meaning it couldnt be kept a secret. The pain would be caused because by cheating you are severing part of the bond and killing off a part of yourself. You are, litteraly, together forever."
She took a deep breath and waited. She began to worry, Eric wasnt saying anything, he seemed lost in thought.
"So....?" she prompted.
He suprised her by reaching over the bed and kissing her, hard.
"I love you"
She was taken aback, he handt said that before, ever.
"I-I love you too." she stammered.
"good. when u were helping me unpack... there were some things i wouldnt let you see. Remember? Well, would you like to see some?"
He got up and walked over to his dresser and pulled open the top drawer. When ari saw what it was she gasped he seemed to get right to the point didnt he?
"Eric! Did you even think about my family values?" she asked him shocked.
He looked at her just as shocked but taken aback too. He had been sure that she...
"But....I thought that....you wanted..." he stopped short "why you cow! you have no values."
He jumped at her but cought himself right before he landed on her, she squeeled.
"so... you're really ok with this?"
"well, if youre having second thoughts....."
"No"

Bella noticed that Ari and Eric came down in the morning looking not quite refreshed. Hmmm....... maybe not enough sleep? Even though she may not agree with her friend she didnt hold it against her. She knew that Ari was sure about this and Eric must be too because she was sure that they had had a long night. Ian had been a bit floored last night when she told him about the conditions. 'And Ari and Eric?' he had asked. 'Are talking it over now, i know what Aris take on it is but im not sure about Eric. What do you think his response will be?' 'I couldnt really say this never really came up with us.' She had laughed. Ian seemed to be satiated for now, Ari had been right, it was a huge step. She hoped that her friend was sure, espicially now.

Ari and Eric walked down the stairs that morning and saw that Lena and Loic were already gone. Lena was an early riser and apparently Loic was too. She was learning new things about the trio of guys that she had thought were probably shallow and straightforward, she now realized that she could probably spend forever with them and still not know everything, ha forever, that was exacly what she planned to do, she knewnow that Eric felt the same. She smiled at the memory and squeezed his hand, sensing her thought he smiled and squeezed back. They saw Bella watching them and Ian, still asleep on the couch beside her. They waved at her, and she waved back.

Bella supposed that if they were up she should probably get Ian up and down to breakfast. It was saturday and there were no classes, but that didnt mean sleeping all day, espicially on a couch you had just spent the night with your girlfriend on. They needent have worried though because all of the guys were still asleep. Once Ian was up they all went down to eat and find Lena and Loic.
They made it down to the cafeteria only to find Lena and Loic already gone. They ate and went outside to find them in the lake, enjoy the sunny saturday morning.
It was warm, but a breeze came through giving away the coming of a cold Canadian winter.....

the next morning bella, ian, eric, and ari awoke and found that lena and loic were gone...they all went down to breakfast to find that they werent there either....they were all worried...lena and loic would never go off alone..especially now since the stiffs were after them. they finished eating and went toward the lake. ari and bella looked around but no lena or loic....eric and ian looked around and finally spotted them...lena and loic were cuddled by the lake...enjoying the nice afternoon sun...
they all gathered after a refreshing afternoon and went back to their dorm...the girls still werent comfortable with the guys being by themselves so stayed with them. ari and eric went off on their own again....(rolling of the eyes)..bella and ian shared a couch..while lena and loic cuddled again on the chair.
"so do you think that one day we can all live without the fear of being separated by mutant freaks of women that sucks the intellegence out of the men and using their newly found stupidity seduce them into being their slaves?" loic let out in a giant breath and trying to keep a straight face..."i dont know i hope so.." laughed out lena. they looked at each other..kissed good night and went to sleep.
bella and ian were lying on coach...also cozzey...but not as comfortable as lena and loic....defienetly not as comfortable as ari and eric....they looked at each other then away...ian leaned down and kissed bella good night and they went to sleep. ever since the stiffs took ian away their relationship hasnt been the same.
again they awoke in the morning but this time they had to class. they separated and went to geneology.
an hour later they came out all of them cursing...."man we have to find the very roots of our ancestors....that stinks!!"
"you know how much work we'll have to do?" eric asked
"more than you usually do of course." ari teased. they looked at each other and smiled.
they all walked to their second class.
the girls and guys met up later in the day and each were puzzled.
"do you notice how quiet it has been today??"
"yeah no stiffs no nothing....whats up?"
" i dont know but i dont like it..."
they looked around and sure enough there was almost no one around...an occasional passerby but still no one was really out today.....
what was going on in the academey that they didnt know about?
"Um... this is weird. Have any of you guys even seen the Stiffs today?" Ian asked, very worried.
Getting all apprehensive, the rest of them looked around. "Uhhhhhmmm.... just out of curiosity, do you think the Stiffs know about the hideout?" Loic asked.
All of the girls' eyes opened wide and simultaneously they turned around and ran for the hideout. Last month they saw the Stiffs taking a walk in the meadow near the hideout. If this was anyone else, they wouldn't be worried, a lot of people like to soak up what little sun they could get from the cold sky by walking in the meadow, but this was the Stiffs, and the Stiffs don't exercise... or soak up anything but their own evilness.
The guys, having no idea what was going on, ran after the girls, who had all of the sudden stopped and dropped to the ground. Ian and Eric, being quick because of the streets, quickly followed suit, but Loic just tripped over them and fell onto Eric. The guys started to laugh, but were quickly quited by the venomous glances the girls shot them. They soon figured out what was bothering the girls. Right above the hideout, were the Stiffs, and half the school. They were digging. (That's what the half of the school is for, the Stiffs aren't expected to work.) "Bella, how far down is the hideout?" Lena asked.
"Far enough that they could dig for days like that and not reach it, but over a week, I think they could.... but I don't plan on giving them that much time." Right then she got mad, it was their only safe spot and they were attacking it! Lena and Ari noticed her rage and grabbed the guys who still forgot that Bella was not a pleasant person when mad. They couched behind her, out of sight of the Stiffs.
Ian started to chuckle at the faces of the manipulative girls as their big whole in the ground was being filled up. "That's my girl." He added his powers and made trees grow up above the hideout as well. Joy surged through him as the cypress and oak spread their roots all over the freshly covered ground. Bella turned around and smiled at him. This was proof enough to her that he was faithful. They still needed to talk, but this was a great start.

That night after they had all gone to sleep, Bella turned to see if Ian was still awake. He wasn't, so she woke him up. "I know it's been weird between us, but I'm ready for a fresh start. Even though you want to be as faithful as possible, you just can't and I need to accept that. Now I have."
"Oh babe, I'm glad you see that, but we might not be as hopeless as you think. Sometimes, when all three of them aren't trying to have me, like when they want Eric and Loic too, I still love you more. I try to think of ways to get away and to stop from doing the things they want me to do. May be to show you I still remember you above all of them, I'll sing."
The love hadn't snuck by her. She grabbed his bristly cheeks and gave him a kiss. "You sweet talker you. Sounds wonderful. I know the perfect song too."
"Oh really, and what would that be?" He asked in a deeper than normal voice as her grabbed a lock of her hair to twirl.
"'I will Write You a Song' by Plain White T's. Know it?"
"Yes, and it is perfect... just like you babe."
She smiled, kissed him again and turned back around to go to sleep. "Night, love."
"Hey Ian?"
"Hmm?"
"I love you too." At that, she snuggled closer to him and feel into a blissful sleep.

For the next week Bella and Ian fortified the hideout after dinner. Finally, the Stiffs gave up... with that try at least.....
"Where are bella and ian?" Eric walked into the guys common room where Ari and lena were already sitting working on their class work. After weeks of coming and going through the common room they could get in without anyone being there to let them in.
"they're out wroking on our space. after that incidnet with the entire school were making it deeper and moving it out farter towards the forest so roots cover it up. apparently we arent good enough to help. Now shut up and come work with me on geneology."
Eric groaned but obligingly walked over towards ari and thumped down beside her on the couch.
"Do i have to." he whined "its not like you need help and ive basically given up on it. Do you know how hard it is to pull parents out of thin air?"
"No actually i dont but i dont care either really. You are going to do it anyways, no complaits."
Eirc knew it was pointless to argue so he resigned himself to the work. "Fine"
At that point Loic walked into the room and came over to sit with Lena. "Bella and Ian?"
Ari reapeated the same thing that she had said to Eric.
"Ari stop, you know that Bella and Ian need time alone together, theyre having issuses." Lena butt in. Eveyone knew Bella and Ian were not doing so well but they werent sure why. Lena would admit however that she was a little mad that they hadnt been invited to help with the hideout.
"Fine" ari relented she did agree though.
Everyone worked on thier assignments, all but ari saving geneology for last. Finding random people in history that may or may not be ur ancestors was hard. Two or three hours later Bella and Ian came into the room. They were smiling and looked like they were having a good time so ari and lena assumed that they had worked something out between them. They headed straight towards the others and sat down to do homework.
"Is the hideout done?" Ari asked from her spot up against Eric, not without a hint of jealousy in her voice. "Everything go well without us?" Everyone pointedly glared at Bella and Ian, jokingly of course.
"Yes actually," Bella replied haughtely, "you would have just been in the way."

Bella rolled her eyes... just like Ari to feel left out. Just because Bella's power was OBVIOUSLY superior to hers doesn't mean she had to feel insignificant. (hehehehe) "Who wants to grab something to eat? I'm starving!"
"Bella... everyone just ate, including you..." Lena said.
"I'm hungry too... let's go." Ian said, grabbing Bella's hand, both of them completely ignoring Lena, and everyone else around them for that matter...
They walked out of the dormitory, completely oblivious to everyone staring at them.
"Something's up with them...." Eric added unnecessarily with his eyebrows raised looking back down at his homework.
(i'm laughing bc u don't get it...)
"Here you go babe." Ian said as he threw Bella a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. She caught it and leaned up against him as they walked to one of the small tables. "When's our next break?" he asked as she picked appart the delicious muffin.
"Ummm.... two weeks from now I think," she replied as she popped a piece of muffin in her mouth, "Hey, do you... well... since you can't go back to your ... erm... house..... do you may be wanna go to my house?"
He grinned as he reached across and grabbed some muffin, "And meet your parents?"
She crinkled her nose and smiled, "They will be there..." She kept her eyes on her muffin, waiting for him to reply.
"It'd be great." He said looking at her. She looked up and blushed. "What is everyone else doing? Do you know?"
"Nope, we usually don't go home, but this is a two week one, so I think I'll go home this time... may be they'll come with, make it less awkward" They both laughed. "Wanna go back and ask?"
"May be in a little..." he said as he stole more of her muffin. They sat like that for an hour and decided it was time to go back to the others.

As they were meandering through the halls, they saw Clair, Marrisa and Zoe walk by them. They didn't do anything, they just walked by. Actually, they even kind of smiled. Might have just been a smirk though. Bella looked up to Ian with a confused look just to see it mirrored in his face. "Huh..." He grunted.

"Are you guys even going to start on your homework?" Ari asked.
"No look who's being the good girl!" Ian laughed.
Ari gave him a smirk as he sat down to start the hopeless geneology. "Speaking of family...." Bella said, "Anyone want to go see my folks with me and Ian to find out why I can't find this stuff?"
"Like for ze break?" Loic asked.
"No you idiot, right now." Bella needed to remember she couldn't be sarcastic: everyone was giving her questioning looks. She rolled her eyes, "Yes for break."
"Lena and I are up for it!" Loic answered, "Where do they live?"
"Montana, the middle of no where. Suronunded by mountains and woods." She turned to Ian and smiled, "Kind of the perfect place."
He grinned back, "Yep."
Lena pipped up, "May be for you guys, but..."
"We fish all the time, you can swim-" Bella started, but stopped at the horrified look on Loic's face.
"Fish?"
"Erm... just a figure of speach, you know.... um... not real fishing... uh... at least not while you'r there..." Bella said, catching on while he was so mortified. They all laughed at Bella's inability to fix her mistake. "There will be plenty of air..." she added sounding hopeful.
"We'll come." Lena said smiling.
"Us too." Ari said from her nest in Eric's arms.
"I'll go get the train tickets and call my rents." Bella said getting up. "Wanna come with?" She asked Ian.
":Library?"
"Yep."
"You bettcha!"

"Hey Ma!" Bella said into the pay phone.
"Arabella?" she heard her mom's voice crackle through, the down fall of living where there is no town within what weems like 100 miles.
"Yeah Ma, it's me." She said. Ian laughed from where he sat leaned up against the wall at her face, duh it was her, she was their only child. "We're coming down in a couple of weeks if that's ok with you?"
"Of course dear!" her mom was always excited when she decided to come home, "Who's we?"
"Lena and Ari of course. And..." She turned away from ian so her back was facing him and continued, "Ian, Eric, and Loic."
"Oooo, which one's your boyfriend?" her mom asked, hungry for gossip.
"Ian is mom...." Bella answered, she could hear Ian laughing from behind.
"Oh! Tell me more about him honey!"
"I will later Ma, I've gotta order the tickets. Say hi to Dad for me, we'll be home not this Saturday but next, I'll get the morning train so I get there around 3 ok?"
"Sounds good honey, have fun!" her mom replied, "Love you, bye!"
"Love you too Ma." Bella said as she hung up the phone.

When she turned back around, Ian was grinning. "Shut up you idiot." she said as she playfully punched him in the gut. "Let's get these tickets." She sat down at the computer adn logged on to the train station's sight. "Hmmmm, how early should we make them get up? Not that Eric and Ari will be sleeping that night, they'll be getting all of the 'talking' in they can't while their at my house." She smiled up at Ian and he laughed. "How about 6?" Means we're gonna have to leave at like 5."
"Sounds good, I'm a morning person."
Bella rolled her eyes, he got up at 6 everyday, waking her up as he gently moved her out of the way. "Their gonna hate us..."
"All teh more fun!" Ian said as Bella clicked the buy button.
"We're set! Now all we have to do is bring our ID's to the station and we'll be able to get on from there, no losing tickets!"
"Sounds great." Ian said as he held the door up for her.

so....." eric began, his voice muffled a bit on acout of Ari's hair up against his mouth,"what are your parents like?" The two weeks before break had gone really slowly but they were finally over.
"well...theyre really mean and hate almost everybody, but im hoping that they'll like you." Bella really didnt get that she had no sarcastic abilities at all.
Ari laughed at the horrified expression on Loic's face. "Loic you must remind Bella that there is a no sarcasm rule for her." Loic face sobered some with that but he was still aprehensive.
"Ari dont you think that you could sit up on your own? I would think with all the time you and Eric spent together last night you could stand to be apart for awhile." Bella tried to deliver a comeback that would fluster Ari and throw her off but is didnt work....Bella may forget her inability to do sarcasm ofter but more often she forgot comebacks form her were bad...very very bad.... and never worked on Ari.

"Well, Bella i guess you might think that but you, without actually knowing couldnt really appreciate our relationship, but dont worry Bella, im sure your time will come someday, however far in the distant furture that someday may be." Bella failed attempt at a comeback had backfired, now she was the one who was flustered. "But thank you for caring Bella you concern, though unneeded, is sweet in a pointless kinda way."
"Okay were done now. Back to my question, what are your parents like Bella." Eric interuppted.
"Well" Ari started in a high pitched whiny voice "they're amazing, soooo sweet, kind, and they can get along with almost anyone."
"Yes" Lena picked up "you guys will love them. I dont think that ive ever met anyone who hasn't just loved them. Ohh, and my moms the best cook youll ever meet."
"Oh yes!" Ari took her turn, they just couldnt stop could they? "shes even better than Ari who of course is the best cook at school. And my dad, oh well, what cant he do right? And....." Ari stopped, she couldn't get any more words out, she and lena collapsed laughing into theirs boyfriends laps.
"You two just dont know when to stop do you?" Bella actually looked mad, HA!, if she was Ari and Lena really couldnt have cared less.
"No, no we dont, we would have gone on farther but well, we thought that everyone got the picture, and we also just saved everyone from an hours worth of gloating over parents." Lena gasped out.
Bella continued to pout and stalked off out of their train compartment, Ian looked questioningly around the space towards the two other couples sitting comfortably together.
"Dont be stupid Ian," Eric began "you guys just seem to be getting on better dont go and ruin it." Ian sighed and got up to follow.
Ari, Eric, Lena,and, Loic sat together after he left not really talking just relaxing. there heard Ian from down the hall ♫♪ I don't know how to make lots of money I got debts that I'm trying to pay I can't buy you nice things, like big diamond rings ♫♪
"is he singing?" Ari spoke aloud to no inparticular.
"Yes" eric snorted out a laugh "i dont know what and i dont know why but ian is singing."
the singing contiuned on for awhile and they continued to catch parts of the song

After awhile the song stopped and there was silence. Noone said anything as Ian led Bella back into the compartment. They sat down and just stared at everyone.
"what in the hell were you singing and why were you singing?" Eric had no shame did he?
"I was singing a song dipshit, and i was singing because i felt like it."
"Will you two shut up." Lena cut in, "we're here."
The train was in fact pulling into the station in Boezman, Montana, Bella looked out the window and saw her parents waving madly in the direction of the train.

"I don't think they were exaggerating...." Loic said as he they were getting their bags down from the luggage rack.
"Oh, give them a break; they haven't seen me since last summer." Bella said as Ian handed her the green army duffel they were sharing. She gave him an exaggerated look and he took it back chuckling.
"Yeah, and it's only the first week of Novemeber...." Lena added.
"Must be nice to have parents who care..." Ari said dismally.
"My parents are so mean, they hate me, I mean come on, who would make their daughter go to a boarding school and never talk to her again, even when she comes home for summer?" Bella imitated Ari's whining. Ari rolled her eyes and smiled at Bella, all was forgiven.
"Shall we?" Eric asked as he nodded towards the door. Ian nervously nodded and we all got off the train.

"ARABELLA!!" Bella's mom shouted, running down the platform to hug her only daughter.
"Hey Ma, how's it goin?" Bella asked as she was smothered.
"Oh honey, I'm so excited to see you! Who are your friends here?" She asked giving Loic the up down.
Bella tried to hold in a laugh as she said, "This is Ian, Eric, and Loic." Each of them reached out their hands to shake with her mom and dad. "Everyone, this is obvioulsy my mom and dad."
"Just call me Jim." her dad said as he shook their hands.
"And just call me Stacy!" her mom said.
"Someone took her happy pills today." Bella muttered to Lena. They giggled as they all walked to the pick up.
"Uhhmmm, we're not gonna fit." Bella pointed out.
"Just sit in the back, we won't tell!" her mom said.
"Cool." Eric said.
When they were all sitting in the back of the truck, not touching, Loic said, "Well, they seem...."
"Peppy." Lena finnished.
The girls laughed. Bella's parents were all ways like this for the first day. After that, they were prying into every piece of info in your past. They felt sorry for Ian, but decided not to worry him by telling him right now. Though Ari was kind of curious..."Have you two ever been arested?"
"Not as Ian and Eric...." Eric replied.
"Meet Pablo y Pedro...." Ian piped up.
They all laughed, well at least her parents wouldn't be mad about that...

"Fresh caught bass!" Stacy said as she brought in dinner. Loic's face turned chalk white. "Are you ok Loic?"
"Umm, I'm not that hungry.... do you think it's ok if I just go to sleep now?"
Stacy looked mortified, that was something you did not say to her, refuse her cooking, but it was still the first day, so she said, "Of course, Jim, please show Loic where him and Eric will be sleeping." Jim stood up and led them to one of the upstairs bedrooms. After they left, she added "Lena and Ari, you will be sleeping on this floor in the spare bed room. Bella and Ian will sleep in her room downstairs. Fish?" She said it all so casually, Bella didn't have time to blush, or stop all of her friends from looking at her.
"Sure Mom, big piece...." Bella said, trying to get her bearings. The rest of dinner passed without any problems......

"NO FAIR!!!" After they had finished dinner the guys had gone up to get situated and the girls had gone outside to the river that was back behind the house. "No fair!" Ari continued on her rant, "why do you get to sleep with your boyfriend? You dont even..ahh! Why would your mom even be ok with that? Why isnt she ok with me and Eric or Lena and Loic?"
"Ari i dont really think that she or dad is ok with it. I think that theyre trying to say that they're ok with it so that they dont push us more together by trying to push us farther apart. Besides," Bella added slyly, "my beds the only bed that doesnt creak."
"Ya whatever" Ari was done with that conversation. She stalked of in the other direction only to take off into the air, headed towards the mountains that were about 140 miles north of the house.
Bella and Lena didnt really worry about her, they'd been here often enough and had Ari go off often enough to know where she was going. There was a difference this time though, they had someone they could go send after her.
"wheres Loic?" Lena had wanted to go off and talk with him while Bella was explaining things to Eric and Ian.
"Whimp actually went to bed." Eric the compassionless. "although i will say that riding on bumpy mountain roads, for an hour, in the back of a truck, was not the most relaxing thing in the world. Wait, wheres Ari?"
"well..." Bella got ready to tell the story.
"Wait! Loic's in his room, sleeping?" Lena cut in.
"yes i just told you that."
"good, hopefully he wont mind one more, no matter how much creaking the bed does." with that lena ran off down the hallway to save herself from a long winded explination.
"Ok, so.... we were outside by the river and Ari was mad that i got to sleep with Ian when she was in a different room than you. So i told her my veiws on it and she got mad at me and shot off."
"What! Where did she go? How are we going to find her?"
"Eric calm down! ohmygod. Really. My parents have spent enough three hour drives to go get her to know where shes going."
"So what do you want me to do about it?"
"Well, you can fly, it would save us a trip up, or in the least she would come back faster."
"Faster?"
"if you dont get her she could be gone for days."
"ohhh...so where is she?"
"Well she will have flow off to flathead lake. It about 140 miles north of here. Its surrounded by the rockies so itll be kinda hard to find her." Seeing Eric confused look bella remembered he was British. "the rockies are the mountains around here."
"if she wanted mountains why did she have to go off so far? there are mountains everywhere."
"This lake remember? It has an island in it that is a wild horse reservation. I think that the flying calms her down and then what stress isnt gone by then the horses clear away the rest. Back when she was younger there was a ranch about ten miles from her house. She would go there and ride the horses when the owners were around, they felt bad for her so they let her ride and get lessons free. During the summer she'll sometimes volunteer on the island."
"ohhh, i-i didnt know. weve never really talked about our pasts."
"ya well you might want to do that sometime. Back to what i was saying, she'll be on a outcropping looking out over the lake and the island. Stay as high as you can for as long as you can, dont forget the shield you can use. There are a few towns around there, Dayton being the closest. I think if you find her you may be able to calm her down and get back here before breakfast. Ill warn mom about the whole fish thing."
Eric got ready to leave, he didnt know how long it would take for him to get Ari home. While he was getting ready Bella went down to talk to her mom.
She found her mom outside her house hanging up clothes on the clothes line. " 'Fresh mountain air, best fabric freshener anyone will ever find' " Bella palyfully mimicked her moms voice. It had been her favorite saying while Bella was growing up here. Some things never seem to change.
"Hey doll. Hows everybody? Actually" she said looking around, "wheres everybody?"
"well, mom lena and loic are most likely sleeping, oh and by the way, he really didnt mean anything by the whole not eating dinner thing. You obviously know that i move dirt?" Her mother nodded. "Well loic breaths under water mom, hes a fish in effect."
"Ohmygod! ohh ill have to tell the poor boy how sorry i am."
"No mom its ok hell be fine, can you just promise no more fish for the time were here?"
"Yes of course. But what about ari?"
"well..... ari got mad...and she went off."
"Oh dear ill get the keys. Does the boy thats here with her, ohh whats his name? Arron? Evan?"
"Eric mom"
"Ohh yes yes Eric. Does eric know that shes gone."
"yes mom he knows." she took hold of her moms arm to stop her from going to get the truck keys. "hes gonna go get her. ohhh look there he goes." Bella pointed over towards the other side of the house; eric was taking off headed north.
"I--I thought that you told me that only one person could have a power at a time."
"yes mom i did say that, there is an exception, but well, not now mom. I told him where she would be and to stay hidden until he finds her. Dont worry mom hell find her and colm her down faster that anyone else can, but they may be there for awhile, they need to talk about some things."
"Ohh, ok i guess that theyll be ok."
"Ya, mom?"
"Yes"
"you know, not that im complaining, but why did you put ian and i in the same room?"

Eric was a little worried. He didt really know how fast he was going and the mountains were everywhere. He was trying to stay up with the clouds but he couldnt tell if he was visable from the ground. Then he saw the lake, he hoped that this was the right lake, but then he saw the island, wait there were two islands; Bella hadnt said anything about two islands, ohh well. He scanned the mountains close to the largest of the two islands. Where was she? Maybe Bella had been wrong, maybe Ari hadnt come here. But then he saw her. She was up farther than he had expected, ohhh... that whole shield thing...right.
He went over towards her.

Ari always found this place peaceful. She had been coming here since she was 13, on her first break at Westfall. She had been mad and Bella and just left. After awhile she had found this place and just sat here. It had probably taken full 12 hours for Bella and her parents to find her. They hadnt really been mad, they had just felt sorry for her and said that if she was going to do that again to tell them where she was going.
She was looking out at the lake when she saw a bird flying down at her, stupid bird she didnt want it here, it would have to find another place to rest. The bird kept getting closer and bigger. Wait...
"AHHHHH!!!" Ari leapt back on the ledge to give Eric room.
"Hey"
"Umm...hey?"
"whats wrong?"
"well i cant say i was expecting anyone to come hurteling out of the sky at me."
"well i havent really had time to get used to flying, you told me not to remember?"
"ya i do, which is why i wasnt expecting you to come and find me. Not many people would be stupid enough to try it. I'm suprised you didnt get lost."
"Me too. Whats wrong Ari?"
"nothing really, i guess i just needed to come up here its been awhile and school is stressful."
"No... i never would have guessed that miss perfection got stressed." Eric teased.
"shut up" but she didnt really mean it, she was glad that he had come to get her.
"so...this is your place huh?"
"ya i guess considering it is hard for anyone to get up here, its been mine for about 4 years."
"so... can we go back or is there anything that you were needing to say. I get the feeling that there are some things about your past and maybe mine that should probably be said."

Bella had been wrong, Ari and Eric weren't home till after two the following day, but when they did finally come back they looked much happier than she remembered them looking for awhile.

As soon as Ari and Eric were back, she attacked Bella. "Sooo??? Did you ask your mom why she did it??"
"Yeah..." Bella said. Ari and Bella were clearing the table while the rest of the gang were being carefully spied upon by Bella's parents, no one was around.
"And?!" Ari was anxious, if Bella didn't answer soon, Ari would probably drop and break something... wait, throw something...
"Well, she said she wanted to let me know that her and Dad were ok with it, but I saw the real reason behind it very quickly..." Bella said as she put a dish in the dishwasher.
Ari handed her another dish as she said, "What was the reason?"
"You know how my parents are over protective and quick to judge and-"
"And dig into everything wrong you did..."
"Umm, yeah... any way, I think they wanted to see what he would do."
"Makes sense, what did he do?"
Bella smiled, "He caught my awkwardness and asked my dad if we could get new arrangements. My dad said, why what's wrong with them? You know, like what's wrong with my daughter. And Ian said slyly, I don't sleep with people before marriage."
"Are you serious? Who does that anymore?" Ari almost dropped the dish but Bella grabbed it just in time. "Woops, sorry.."
"Yeah I know, I didn't know he was that quick on his feet... but it worked on my dad."
"What is he gonna do when he finds out he's lieing?" Ari asked as she put a cup in the refigerator.
Bella rolled her eyes and got it out to put in the dishwasher, "Who says he is?" Ari stared in disbelief at Bella who ignored her and continued, "I confirmed my suspicions when I found the camera in my room, I mean it was small and well hidden, but come on, they should realize that I use the radio even if I'm hear for only two weeks."
Ari looked bewildered, "Next time we go on vacation, I vote not your house...."
"Oh come on, they only act this way the first time they meet someone. They dig as deep as they can get, which is surprisingly deep, and they judge you very harshly, and watch your every move, but if you pass, they are nice to you everytime they see you from then on." Bella said as they put the toppings away from the taccos.
Ari resided, "I guess, but I hope the guys pass. Why do they do this?"
"I don't know, there seems like there should be some reason, but i just can't figure one out."
"Beats me aswell. May be you guys are all aliens and their just checkin' for spies and other marshans."
"Right Ari, sure..." Bella and Ari laughed as they went onto what Eric and Ari had done while they were on the island.

"Oy, Ian, erm, why are Bell's parents so, uhm, watchful?" Eric asked as him and Ian practiced PK's between two trees.
Ian looked around before answering, Bella's parents were over at the lake with Lena and Loic, out of earshot, but still watching. "I don't know mate, don't stop though. Don't make it seem like we have something interesting to talk about, wouldn't surprise me if they've got the place wired."
"Oh they do. Bella's room has video camera's in it. Well, at least, that's what Loic was telling me."
"Yeah... Really glad we used those fake names when we got in trouble though, I'm pretty sure they're digging into our pasts." Ian replied as he kicked the ball at Eric.
Eric chuckled, "Knowing our luck, they prolly have pictures and are comparing them to our mug shots. I would keep your shirt on though mate, who knows what they would do if they knew you were a Druid."
Ian laughed, "Let's just accept Loic's the only one who is going to pass this little test of thier's." Eric lauged too as they dribbled the ball over to the lake to join Lena and Loic.
"Hey guys!" Lena said from where she sat crossed legged from the center of the lake, on top of the water of course.
"Yo, whatcha guys up to?" Ian asked.
"Watching Eric whoop your a...butt, in soccer." Bella said from rounding the corner. Ian jogged up to her and gave her a sweety smelly hug while Eric gave Ari a similar one. "Ewww, you guys stink!"
Loic came up from the lake, water dripping off of his oragne hair and shook, getting water everywhere. "Why don't you come for a swim then, the water's great!"
Ian and Eric didn't even bother to reply, they just cannonballed into the water yelling and shouting when they realized how cold water got in November. They swam out shivering and hugging themselves for warmth as everyone laughed out at them.Loic swam over to Lena and pulled her in too, but she was better suited for the frezzing water. They got out and laughed. Ari rolled her eyes and decided it was time for her to finally unpack and may be even get some sleep, or just watch the TV in the room. She realized that they probably got new sleeping arangements and asked, "So, where do I get to sleep?"
Lena replied, "I share a room with Eric on the middle floor. You share with Ian upstairs. And Loic and Bella get to sleep downstairs."
"Cool, I'm gonna head in." As she was walking with Bella she leaned over and asked, "So why are these arangments any better?"
It was Lena who answered though, "Because there are two beds in each room, not three. If we tried to keep in un-co-ed, someone would have to sleep on the floor. So now this way we each get a twin bed."
"Oh, ok." Ari said, "How are you and Loic doing?"

"I thought you said your parents were nice..." Loic said jokingly as Bella tried to fall asleep.
"Yeah, well, they will be, you know, in a while..." Bella said. She rolled over on her side, please let me sleep she thought.
No such luck, Loic continued, "Why are they like that? I don't think my parents do anything and I mean, I have money... uhhh..."
Bella sighed and smiled to herself, "Thank's Loic... I know what you mean though. Because I'm their baby and they love me. And they obviously don't like anyone else... " She rolled over and smiled at him. "Now shut up!" Then she lovingly threw a stuffed animal at him, unfortuatly, her aim was very bad and missed him by a foot.....

"Oy Bella!" eric stomped on the floor, bella and loic were in the room right under them."Shut up! We all know you dont have good aim, havent you realized that or yourself yet?"
"Shut up Eric you dont even know what happend." the muffled cries came up through the floor.
"Shut up the both of you let a girl get her sleep, I didnt get much last night." that was ari, she could yell loud enough for even Bella to hear two floors below.
"Really cupcake? I got a lot of sleep last night, you know really tired and all. All the uhh running slept like a log."
"Really beloved" Ari taunted him back she had a list of sappy petnames stored up she could go on forever."I did not sleep well, not that your sleep talking helped or anything."
"I do not sleep talk!" He yelled, "Dearest" he didnt forget to yell that at the last second
"ohhh yes you do snukims, but thats ok because its all about me anyway. Now shut up!!!"
"Fine"

the next morning everyone met at breakfast, coming towards the table in pairs.
"so," Stacey tried to start the conversation as she was cooking breakfast, not fish, "how was everyones night?" she acted as if she hadnt heard all the yelling.
"Ahh it was very refreshing thank you, much better that the night before." Ari replied from her perch on Eric. Bella's house was very informal and there were couchs all over. She had no shame did she? Everyone else was trying to walk around on tiptoes so that Bellas parents would give ian eric and loic the ok, but not Ari, no Ari was shameless. What did she care? Stacey and Jim already liked her and if she was here Eric would be here too.
"if it was so uncomfortable why didnt you just come home?" Loic put in reasonably.
"We had somethings that we needed to talk about." Eric replied.
"Ohhhh," stacey said from her spot in front of the stove, she had just given everyone drinks and was finishing up the pancakes, "you were talking? Really thats what you were doing, snukims?" She put in slyly.
Bella choked on her juice. Ari nondded her head serenly, but then made the mistake of looking back at eric and disolved into laughter.
"Hmm... i thought so, interesting conversation im sure." Stacey smiled and gave every one breakfast. Apparently Eric passed the test. "Bella do you really have that bad of aim? I mean i know your not a softball palyer or anything but.... Loic was about two feet from you."
"How do you know i even threw it?" Bella was sooo confused it hadnt been that loud and obvious had it.
"You did and you sucked." Loic ended the argument.

"So Bella, why havent i heard anything about Ian in your letters? I really wish you would keep your fater and I involved in your life."
"Mo-om," Bella groaned "I havent written in like, five months."
"I know, I know, this is the first time youve been home in a long time, you going all over for summer break and all, but why didnt you say anything about ian in your earlier letters, you have been dating for a year or so."
Bella looked around at Ari and Lena who looked just as confused as she felt. Why did her mom think that she had been seeing Ian for so long? She hadnt even know him for more that four months.
"If I dont write to you often enough how do you know how long Ian and i have been dateing?" Bella tried to ask tactfully so as not to give away that they hadnt been.
"I got an email from some of your friends at school, theyve been talking to me alot actually. Pathetic really, i talk to them more than you."
"Ari and Lena?" She look around only to be met with confused eyes and shaking heads, they hadnt emailed stacey.
"Now Bella i know that you have more friends than that. No other girls, Claire, Marissa, and Zoe."
Every one sat in stunned silence. Why would they be emailing Bellas mom, lying to her?
"How long have you been talking to them?" Ari finally asked.
"Whats wrong girls? I hope that you arent mean to them. They are nice girls and i hope that you all are too." Stacey admonished. "We've been talking for about 4 months or so i guess. Why does that matter?"
"It doesnt really mom, we were just wondering." Bella hated lying to her mom, but how could she tell her that the stiffs were really lying, man stealing,.....people. Bella Ari and Lena knew that 'about 4 months ago' was when they had first met the guys.
"We-ell," Stacey began, "i was planning on keeping this as a suprise for later on, but, well, I invited them out to come visit ovver break and they agreed!"
This time it was Bellas turn to drop something. Her glass slipped out of her hand but Ari stopped the air around it so it sat in midair, frozen.
"Oh, Ari, i forget you can do that, it startled me." Stacey gasped.
"Ya, when are the st-- uh others coming?"
"Oh well yes, you see i dont have an exact time, but they should be here this afternoon. You should probably go tell the guys too, and go get ready.

Stacey had been right, the stiffs showed up at about 2 pm. The guys had been briefed and knew to be nice in front of Bellas parents. Everyone was conginal while in the front yard. Stacey invited everyone inside for lunch, but no one was hungry, and they told her that they were going to go hiking.
"Do expect us back for awhile mum. We should be back for dinner though."
"Have fun!"
Stacey and Jim went inside while everyone walked off. Once they were out of view of the house Ari turned around and addressed everyone.
"Alright we're flying." She said, her tone left no room for argument. "Everyone grab hold of someone else, however, repulsive that prospect may be."
Everyone grabbed on, some enthusiatic, some...not.
The fly didnt last long, Ari didnt think that her spot should be seen by everyone. She just took them to a place that was basically inexcessable unless you had another way that cars, hopefully no one died.
"So," ari rounded on the stiffs, "what are you doing here?"
"Well," Claire smirked
"We wanted to have some fun" Marissa continued
"And ohh my, is this fun."Zoe looked, in turn, at all of them and every one but eric and ari dropped to the ground. The stiffs laughed at thier helplessness.
"Remeber that I got you here, I have to get you out."
"Ha, Ari you make it sound as if you had a choice, i could tell you to kill eric with your bare hands right now and you wouldnt be able to say no. Of course i wont, that would be a waste of what very few men that i can stand to look at." Zoe looked sconfully at Ari and lightly stroked Eric's cheek, he was helpless to resist.
Ari shivered, they would not get away with this. She would leave them here to die, or maybe she would have the pleasure of killing them first. She could leave them here to rot, noone would find them.
"We've heard rumors, we figured it would be fun to test them. This seemes like the perfect place." Marissa started. "You know the whole thing with us. Well we were never sure if it was true or just a rumor, you know permanant exchange of powers? Wow. The pain is an interesting concept too. Of course none of us would know, you might accuse us, but we really arent a pack of hoes." She looked pointedly at Ari. The veins in Erics neck visably strained but he could move.
"Come here Eric." Zoe cooed.
He walked forward the restance was gone. Was he not trying to fight it?
Zoe reached up and put her arms around his neck, his slid around her waist, Ari could move at this point, she had run over to him, but no matter how much she begged and pleaded he would even look over at her. Finally he pushed her away.
She stumbled back, that was when the pain began. At first it was just a twinge, there but not really noticable. Then it began to mount in a crescendo. She screamed aloud in pain and then she fell into a crumpled heap, a foot away from Eric's feet.
Bella and Lena ran towards her, the spell had broken on them too. She was still concious, why, why could she not fade into the black, it was there, she could she it. Bella and Lena were trying to keep her awake 'Go away!', had she yelled that? Had the words actually formed on her lips? She didnt care anymore.
"Eric, stop." those had slipped out.
Ian, who hadnt rushed to Ari's side ran over a lunged at Eric, he hit and fell to ground.
"Get Off Me!"
That wasn't Eric.
Shocked, Ian looked down to see that he had missed Eric and hit Zoe, hmmm, he couldnt decide wether that was better or not. He rolled away, careful not to make eye contact with her and looked back to where Eric should have been. Why had he missed? He got the answer once he looked back and saw that where Eric should have been was empty, Eric lie in a heap where he had been standing, neither he nor Ari were moving now.
"What did you do?!" Bella's cry echoed around them. Vines shot out if the ground and wrapped around the stiffs, effectivly rendering them motionless. Where was Ian? Did he do that? (A/N: God i'm vicious i know that though. lol Love to george and Bella) "Good job, i dont care if you can control them, THEY WERE OUR WAY HOME! What are you going to do now? They are unconcious, at best, we are stuck here now and the odds are 4 to 3, we win." They looked scared nowthey were tied up and out numbered.

It took two hours to get home on foot. Bella had needed to tunnel through the mountains, and Ari and Eric still hadn't woken up. When they got home Stacey almost went into shock. She was all over them.
"What happened? Where are the others? Are they ok?"
Bella waved her off, promising to explain later. Stacey followed them into Bella and Loic's room one the first floor. They left Ari and Eric there and went back out. Bella would need to rember to tell them about the stiffs, still up in the mountains, tied up. She thought that they would know what to do with them.
"What happened?" Stacey was in tears by now.
"there was an incident, but dont worry, Ian took care of it." Bella waved the question off. "As for the others, the altitude was 'bad for their skin', they left."

It was dark when Ari woke up, she couldn't think of where she was. She layed there for awhile hoping that she would remember where she was when everything came crashing back to her. She also felt like there was a black hole in her, threatening to pull her in if she moved slightly. Eric! Where was he? Was he ok? Was she ok? Maybe.... maybe she was the one that wasn't ok, didn't that rumor say something about if one person cheated...something about being ripped apart on the inside? She couldn't remember, but she thought so. This feeling was the closest thing she could think of to describe being ripped apart.
She still did't knowwhere she was. The last thing that she could remember was being in the mountains, and this was not the mountains. She must be in Bella's house she reasoned, but was Eric? Ari began to find the worst possible answers. He was still out in the mountains, all alone. He was still out in the mountains, all alone, with the stiffs.
Her mind was taking her on a wild ride, past all kinds of horrible senarios when the black hole began to diminish. What was this? She must be imaging things. She continued on her roller coaster of thoughts, the feeling didn't go away though. She wasnt imaging it, the void was going away, why was that? Maybe Eric was actually ok, here somewhere even.
"Ari?"
He was here! The roller coaster had stopped but she still felt woozy from the ride. Why had she been thinking along those lines?
"Ya, I'm here."
She got up slowly, not rushing, and hoping that her head wouldn't start to spin. It didn't and she slowly walked over to where she assumed Eric would be. She found him lying on another bed in the room, she layed down next to him and just stayed there, hugging him.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered.
"I know" It was strange, but she really did, it was like she could sense his regret, as if his feelings were her own.
