Rather tired thoughts on a Friday afternoon

How lovely. Debbie said my ring was the nicest one she'd seen so far
and bought me Moules Mariniere for lunch. Yummy Belgian beer too. Now I
feel a combination of sleepy and contented. Only a couple of hours to
go.
Meeting M this evening to go to The Royal Academy summer exhibition.
Should be good. I have to talk to her about putting my flat on the
market. Hope she takes it ok. Also have to talk to D after I talk to
her. What a lot of talking I have to do at the moment, and it's all
about vitally important, change-your-life sort of stuff. How
exhausting.
Rug was a poorly boy yesterday, and still not 100\% today. Hope he gets
better soon. He woke up in the night with a sharp pain in his side.
I've been trying to love him better which I hope is helping. He thinks
the pain might be pleuracy, whatever that is. He says he's had it
before.
Got to tidy the spare room this weekend ready for the parents'
inspection, sorry, I mean visit, next weekend. Hopefully it'll be
pleasant enough weather to have a BBQ. I'm not sitting outside if it's
not nice enough. Parents'll probably want to go outside with extra
jumpers and socks and the British stiff upper lip. I'm happy to admit I
am a wimp, and if your cosy house is sitting just behind you, why deny
yourself, I ask you? It's quite exciting to think of Rug and I being
all grown up and playing the hosts.
Wonder if I will get the castle job? The interview seemed to go ok-ish.
It could be quite interesting there. Oh well, we'll see. They said I'd
know in the next 7 days, so that's 6 to go now. Turbulent times at the
moment with this life change thing, but can't complain of boredom.
Things ain't gonna be boring for a long time?.
