MAGICAL LESSONS
I walked the creepy forest to glance,
Studying animals I did per chance.
I came across a hole in a tree,
A smell of honey enticed me.
Inside the knot I was so bold,
Bees hummed rhythmically from the cold.
Others worked unaware of me,
Content on duty that must be.
A bee called me closer called me near,
Rhythmically humming with no fear.
He said I have secrets I have true,
If you like I can share them all with you.
But why I said is this a magical place?
The worker said yes a smile on his face.
What secrets do you wish to share?
My eyes shinning with intense stare.
Take this message to all mankind,
Stop destroying forests and my kind.
Soon one day forests a bare,
It will be to late for man to care.
A last look at the knot in the tree,
I leave the rhythmic dance of the bee.
Many years will pass me by,
My eyes turn upwards towards the sky.
Is that the bee I saw long ago?
Rhythmic humming to and fro.
Maybe not the forest is charred black,
The gnarled not lay with broken back.
Empty inside no home for a bee,
Message wasted so plain to see.
So will mankind ever learn?
Destructive toys, things that burn.
A bee rhythmically passes a broken stile,
Am I dreaming is that a magical smile?
