Some Men

Some men can play god
They have no problems, no odd
Moments spent self loathing
Some men can wear tight clothing,
They just throw anything on they care
Or go bare, with no fear of hair
Or eyes in places unexpected
They can get away with it, unaffected
Some men can tease
No ill at ease, trembling knees
Futile pleas or emotional scars
For them, just fast cars
And the canny knack of removing bras
With one hand, with no fumbling
For catches, no mumbling
Either or stumbling for words
Some men know how to pull the birds
They don't need poetry or flowers
Wit, vulnerability or powers
Of reason, for them no heartfelt words
They know all the moves, the shoves
Sidesteps, evasions, no need for love
Nor exhortations from above
Nor nightly waiting all alone.
Some men really have the power,
They don't even need to shower
Much or use the phone
Or care about erogenous zones
They can climb mountains, cross seas
Win at soccer with ease
Drink ten pints; throw up, start a fight
Dance all night, get laid as they please
They don't care where they've been
Some men have never heard of sin
Some men can play god
And win.
