Sweet Wilderness

Sweet nightingales overhead
Cool springtime blossom
Against the emerald grass
I breathe, I sing, I dance, I dream
Locked away in my wilderness
White glass flowers
Amongst the sapphire breeze
That wanders through the water's stillness
And by its side
In crystal light
A shrouded angel-boy
Guides me through ruby gates
A shimmering well of amethyst gold
That dives deep into my heart
Leaving me breathless
The glass flowers shatter
Crystal turns to shards
Emerald is green paste
And ruby? Garnet.
The cherub pulls back his child's hood
Staring into my eyes
As gold dissolves to water.
