Thankful For All That I've Got

I sit here alone
While my thoughts
Are my own.
Thankful for all that I've got.

I've got a good family
It's a large one; here the rest
Four brothers, two sisters
And a mother who is the best.

I've got my father, who has gone on before us
To care for a young angel so great
That she was made only for heaven.
There they watch out for us other eight.

I've got my husband
And our two boys.
Life has not always been easy
But there has always been lots of joy.

I've got my friends
Whom I love with all my heart.
For with them there is no end
To life's cycle that won't come apart.

I've got time to sit here
While my thoughts are my own.
Only to realize that there
Is no way I will ever be alone.
