Unattainable Dream

Not naive enough to think it possible
Yet too optimistic to let it go
An unattainable dream, yet still a dream
Thriving aimlessly to reach it
Renewed hope and energy to try
Washed away at the first glimpse of reality
Futile attempts to reah success followed by
A feeling of fooleshness at the concept of trying
Uncomprehended attempts don't recede
But forlornity increases due to the absence
Of the essential element that can make me complete.
