10.08am I have been reading the overnight posts again on the forums.
I am listening to my garageland CD right now. The sun is shining and it
looks like another hot day.
Yesterday I woke up at 9.00, fed the cats and went online to add to my
latest diary set. I like writing the diary it helps. I played my guitar
for a bit as I usually do when I dont have work, then rushed out to the
bus stop at 11 so I could talk to ... but the phone was off, so I
didnt. I sat on the bus and waited, but no call. Got off at Vic Circus
and wandered across the crossing, round past the back of the Odeon and
into the precinct at the top end of the High Street, where C&;As
used to be before they went bust. I went in a shop and looked at new
leather jackets, they found me a Marlon Brando one which was the best
of the lot, so I bought it. They did have a black and silver one with
armour but it was too small. Then I went over to the Old Record Museum
which is run by Derek, and sometimes I go in there for a chat and to
have a look through the CDs. G was in there, which was a surprise. We
had a long chat about the board and stuff, and G showed me this huge
database of all his vinyl collection. We went off for a beer and
chatted about the board again, and books. A guy sitting across from us
with his girlfriend told me about a book about Charles Bronson, and
said I should read it. It was a bit random. G and I went to
Waterstones, where the air conditioning was leaking water onto a pile
of Elvis books, so I bought this huge volume of Elvis for my wife who
is a big fan. We also went in Golden Disc where I bought a Corrs CD
because I heard a song on it on the radio the other day which I liked.
We had chips for lunch, then went back to the Old Record Museum where
we listened to "Elvis Presley" on CD and I bought Count Five's
"Psychotic Reaction" and another CD. Finally in Honky Tonk I bought a
new set of Martins for the acoustic, which was what I had come into
Southen to buy but had spent ?150 in doing so. I do that some times. I
decided to rejoin UKA as well.
I got the bus home and read one of the Elvis books I had bought, which
was good because I had the jacket. I wish I could play guitar like him,
as I am sure I would be better at it than I was in Honky Tonk.
I got in, and gave my wife the big Elvis book, and she thought it was
nice, but moaned about the cost.
I went online, rejoined UKA, setup and email account that works. I
think I will take the "nospam" bit out of the address as it means the
email doesnt work. I also went out to get more cigarettes, and noticed
that the time was 8.55pm.
I went in web chat then I watched the unseen footage from Big Brother,
which was a laugh, I went back on the forums and posted some more
stuff.
It was midnight when I went to bed.
