A twinkle in my eyes when I see him smile
A tug at my heart when he walks my way
a feeling of warmth envelopes my body
And a smile slowly spreads across my face as I pray
That the feeling I harbor for him are mutual
But I dare not think of them out loud
Or tell a friend about the feelings inside
Just sit and stare and drift away
Into my little fantasy where he's there beside me
Whispering in my ear how much he cares
Then I drift back to reality, but the feeling doesn't escape me
But swirls around me tightly to embrace me
I wave back as he walks my way
And think of the emotions I keep locked within
And of the day that won't come because I'll let it pass by
Half due to fear and balf because I'm shy
But I don't mind, this way he can't break my heart
Or shatter the dream I hold on to so tight.
