We Came Together

We came together,
your breasts crushing me
as I forced your body
through your veil of sound,
screaming out my name,
&; clamping me
in your throbbing core.
I bit your shoulder,
my teeth marking love
in your flesh, your wet skin
shining through the pain,
forks of lightening
exploding, as
the storm subsided.
&; later that night,
when your breath had slowed
to a soft, lilting calm,
I reached for you again.
You turned to me,
your sleep pouring off.
Lying spent, the used
desires cast aside,
empty wells now remain,
no water to be drawn.
The storms have passed.
The land becomes desert.
